Your taxi from Voorschoten to Schiphol Airport
Voorschoten lies leafy and quiet between Leiden and The Hague. The village has its own railway station, yet no direct train to the airport. A taxi from Voorschoten to Schiphol therefore spares you an early change with luggage: the driver collects you at the front door and drops you at the departure hall.
In Comfort (VW Passat or similar) one fixed price of €75 applies. Outside the rush hour the 35 kilometres take roughly 35 minutes. VAT, your luggage and the airport parking are already inside that amount. A night surcharge does not exist, so a pick-up towards four in the morning costs the same.
Need more space? Book Premium (€92, Mercedes E-Class or similar), the eight-seat Van (€98, V-Class or similar) or VIP (€173, S-Class or similar). Changing or cancelling stays free until 24 hours before pickup.
Your route and departure time
Most rides to Schiphol follow the A4. The driver joins the motorway near Leiden or Leidschendam and leaves it at exit 4, right by the terminal. From the southern districts the A44 via the Leidseweg is a handy alternative.
With clear roads the 35 kilometres take about 35 minutes. Traffic thickens on the A4 between Leiden and the airport and around the Prins Clausplein junction. In the morning rush the journey can therefore grow to about 50 minutes.
Is the A4 jammed? Then the driver often switches to the A44 past Sassenheim. Extra margin around your check-in time is planned in as standard, so busy roads rarely threaten your flight.
If you live in the southern districts of Voorschoten, the ride often starts along the Leidseweg towards the A44; from the Leiden side the A4 is closer. Either way, a European flight at 07:00 does not mean a brutal alarm.
You want to be at Schiphol by 05:00, since the airport advises two hours for Europe. At night the A4 is empty and the drive takes about 35 minutes. Add 15 minutes of slack and the pick-up goes in at 04:10.
Afternoons are different. The A4 between Leiden and Schiphol and the Prins Clausplein junction tend to clog, and the trip easily runs to about 50 minutes. For a long-haul flight at 19:00 you should be ready to check in at 16:00, three hours ahead, so the pick-up is set for 14:55, again with 15 minutes of slack.
If the A4 grinds to a halt, the driver sometimes takes the A44 past Sassenheim instead. A 04:10 start costs the same as a 14:55 one: Comfort is €75, with no surcharge ever added for night, weekend or rush hour.

Every part of Voorschoten is served: the village heart around the Voorstraat and Schoolstraat, plus Krimwijk, Noord-Hofland, Adegeest and the estate zone near Berbice and Duivenvoorde. Pick-ups at Voorschoten station or on the Dobbewijk business site are daily routine too.
State your address when you book. In the narrow streets of the old centre the driver calls briefly to agree the handiest stopping place.

Voorschoten has a train station, so why take a taxi?
Voorschoten station lies on the The Hague–Leiden line, but there is no direct train to Schiphol. You always change at Leiden or The Hague. With heavy luggage, an early flight or a family, one direct ride from door to terminal is usually faster and far less hassle.
Which pick-up time fits an 08:00 departure?
Aim to be at the check-in desk around 06:00. Count back some 35 minutes of driving plus a little margin, and a pick-up around 05:00 in Voorschoten works well. There is no night surcharge, so Comfort stays the fixed €75.
Can I arrange a child seat for the ride?
Yes. Choose a Maxi-Cosi (infant seat, 0 to 13 months) or toddler seat (9 months to 4 years) at the vehicle step of the booking form, for €15 once per booking, on top of the fixed price from €75. The driver then arrives with the right seat fitted, and your family travels safely to the airport; the first seat is guaranteed, extra seats are subject to availability.
Voorschoten–Schiphol with the whole family and big suitcases: which car fits?
With more than four people or a lot of luggage, the Van is the natural pick: a Mercedes V-Class or similar with eight seats, at €98 per ride. That fare covers the whole group, not each person. The driver collects you anywhere from Krimwijk to the estate zone near Berbice and Duivenvoorde and drops you at the departures hall.

Outside the evening rush the driver gets you back via the A4 or A44 in about 35 minutes. Your flight is tracked live, so if you land later than planned, the driver is there later too. You also get 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing.
