Your ride from Alblasserdam
Alblasserdam lies on the Noord, at the head of the Alblasserwaard, and for many visitors is the gateway to the windmills of Kinderdijk. It's also a working village with shipbuilding along the water and many residents who fly on business.
For the ride to the airport one amount known in advance applies: €135 in Comfort, €170 in Premium, €175 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €300 for VIP. You cover 83 kilometres and are on the road about 70 minutes outside rush hour.
In the rate are VAT, luggage and the parking money at Schiphol; surcharges for the night or for public holidays don't exist. Reservation is possible up to at the latest 1 hour before the pick-up time, after which you pay directly online.
The A15 begins practically at the village edge: via the Edisonweg or the Ruigenhil you're on the slip road in no time. Westbound it goes past Ridderkerk, where at the interchange traffic picks the A16 and crosses the Maas over the Van Brienenoordbrug.
Then follows the Terbregseplein, the A20 past Rotterdam-Noord and at the Kleinpolderplein the A13 towards Delft. Beyond the Ypenburg interchange the A4 takes over, past Leidschendam and Leiden to Hoofddorp and the airport exit.
Add it all up and you're at 83 kilometres, about 70 minutes behind the wheel outside the peak hours. The bridge and the Kleinpolderplein are the known holdups; in the morning peak the travel time rises to some 101 minutes.
If the A16 is jammed, the western variant remains: driving the A15 on to the Beneluxtunnel and from there via Schiedam onto the A4 northbound.
Pick-up in Alblasserdam
Pick-up happens throughout the village: in the centre by the Cortgene, in Blokweer and Souburgh, in the Vinkenpolder and up to the houses at Kinderdijk. Businesses on Nieuwland Parc and the shipyards along the river fall within the area too.
A train station is lacking here; travellers normally use the waterbus or drive to Rotterdam or Dordrecht to reach the rails. With cases that's a roundabout route, certainly early in the morning. Enter your address in full and the car is ready at the agreed spot.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Alblasserdam
Back on Dutch soil you walk through to the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza, where the driver waits for you. He follows the flight, so a delayed landing shifts the pick-up moment automatically. Waiting is free the first hour after arrival, which gives room for the baggage belt.
The homeward trip to the Alblasserwaard is then a matter of getting in; the amount is, after all, already paid.

Top chauffeur, uitstekende rit!
Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
How much does a taxi Alblasserdam to Schiphol cost?+
The fixed rate is €135 for Comfort, €170 for Premium, €175 for the Van with five to eight seats and €300 for VIP. VAT, your cases and the parking charges at the airport are all included in that.
Do we fit in one car with six people and lots of luggage?+
Then choose the Van: a Mercedes V-Class or comparable model with room for five to eight passengers plus cases. From Alblasserdam it costs €175 in total, which for a party works out better than booking two cars side by side.
Isn't the waterbus plus train a good alternative?+
That combination works excellently for a day out in Rotterdam, but towards the airport you change twice with luggage in hand. For an early flight the waterbus isn't sailing yet either, so a car at the door remains the only practical choice.
How much waiting time is included after arrival?+
Sixty minutes of waiting time after landing are included in the rate. If passport control takes longer or your case comes off the belt late, the driver simply stays waiting for you in the arrivals hall within that hour.
What if my flight doesn't go ahead?+
Give it at least four hours before the pick-up time. The ride is then rebooked free of charge to another date or time, or fifty percent of the amount comes back. Reporting within four hours of departure can unfortunately no longer be done without cost.
How early should I be at Schiphol before my flight?+
Schiphol recommends 2 hours for a European flight and 3 hours for an intercontinental one. Your driver plans the pickup time around that, with a margin for rush hour.
How much do I pay per person?+
Nothing extra: the fixed price is per ride, not per person. Whether you travel alone or with four people in a Comfort, the amount stays the same.
Can I book a return trip in one go?+
Yes, you arrange your outbound and return ride in one booking with the return option in the booking flow. For the return your driver tracks your flight and 60 minutes of free waiting time apply.
