Questions about sedan or minivan
Which is cheaper per person: sedan or minivan?
At full occupancy the Van (formerly Taxibus) is cheaper per person: €70 ÷ 8 = €8.75 each, against the Comfort (formerly Sedan) at €50 ÷ 4 = €12.50 each (Amsterdam from-prices). For groups of 5-8 the Van is therefore both roomier and cheaper per person.
Will my luggage fit in a sedan?
A Comfort sedan (Volkswagen Passat or similar) comfortably holds 3 large suitcases plus hand luggage for 4 people. Got more than 3 large suitcases (a family of 4 on holiday, for example)? Then choose the Van, which takes 7 large suitcases. Ski bags, golf bags or musical instruments won't fit in a sedan. Always pick the minivan for those.
Can a family with a child seat book a sedan?
Yes. A Maxi-Cosi or toddler seat fits in a sedan: select it at the vehicle step when booking for €15 once per booking. With several child seats at once we recommend the minivan for extra legroom; extra seats depend on availability.
What if there are 5 of us but little luggage?
With 5 people you need a minivan anyway: a sedan seats a maximum of 4. The V-Class is then automatically the right choice, even with little luggage. The extra space for bags is simply left empty.
Can I choose which one I want during booking?
Yes. When you enter your trip (address and time) you see both options, plus Premium and VIP, side by side with the fixed price for your specific route. You only choose the vehicle in step 2 of the booking.
