Your ride from Arnhem

For a taxi from Arnhem to Schiphol, Schipholride charges one fixed all-in price from €175 (Comfort), and outside the rush hour you'll be at the departure hall after roughly 90 minutes. The driver collects you at your front door — whether that's a new-build address in Schuytgraaf or an upstairs flat in Klarendal. During the morning or evening peak the journey can stretch to around 115 minutes, so the planning allows for that. The price includes VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol; there is no night surcharge, not even for a pick-up at four in the morning. Choose from Comfort (€175, VW Passat or similar), Premium (€215, Mercedes E-Class or similar), a Van for 5-8 people (€230) or VIP (€360). Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.

From Arnhem-Noord you join the A12 towards Utrecht via the Velperbroek or Waterberg interchange; if you live in Arnhem-Zuid, the Pleijroute (N325) takes you past the GelreDome to that same Velperbroek. The A12 then runs past Ede and Veenendaal to the Oudenrijn interchange, where the route picks up the A2 towards Amsterdam. At the Holendrecht interchange it continues via the A9 to Badhoevedorp and the Schiphol exit on the A4. The meter reaches 107 kilometres, good for around 90 minutes of driving at a quiet moment. Between roughly 06:30-09:30 and 16:00-19:00 the A12 around Ede and the Utrecht ring road are the familiar bottlenecks, and the total driving time can rise to about 115 minutes. Note: in late July and early August 2026 the province is carrying out major maintenance on the N325 between the GelreDome and Velperbroek, with one direction closed at a time — drivers then divert via the A325 or build in extra margin.

Pick-up in Arnhem

Schipholride arranges pick-ups in every Arnhem neighbourhood: Schuytgraaf, Malburgen and Rijkerswoerd south of the Rhine, and Klarendal, Presikhaaf and Geitenkamp on the north side. A pick-up address at one of the four stations — Arnhem Centraal, Velperpoort, Presikhaaf or Arnhem Zuid — is no problem either, for instance when you're collecting colleagues who arrive by train. Business trips regularly depart from the IJsseloord 2 business park, Arnhems Buiten (home to TenneT, among others) and the Kleefse Waard industrial estate; just give the building or reception when you book, and the driver will be waiting in the right spot.

Pick-up from Schiphol

For the return trip to Arnhem your flight is tracked live: if you land later, your pick-up time shifts accordingly and you have 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing in any case. If you arrive late in the evening, you travel back for the same fixed price — handy, because after midnight the train service towards Arnhem becomes a good deal less frequent.

Frequently asked questions

What time will I be collected in Arnhem for an 08:00 morning flight?+

Count back: you'll want to be at Schiphol by 06:00 to check in two hours ahead, and the trip takes around 90 minutes outside the rush hour. A pick-up time of about 04:15 then leaves a little buffer. Because the fixed price carries no night surcharge, such an early trip costs exactly the same as one during the day.

Does a concert or match at the GelreDome affect my trip?+

Yes, during major events traffic builds up on the Pleijroute (N325) and around the Nijmeegseplein. If your departure coincides with a GelreDome evening, the driver builds in extra margin or diverts via the A325. Mention your flight time when you book, and that will be taken into account.

Can I also book a Schiphol taxi from Schuytgraaf or Rijkerswoerd?+

Certainly — the whole of Arnhem-Zuid falls within the pick-up area, as do Malburgen and the northern neighbourhoods such as Klarendal and Geitenkamp. You simply enter your street address; the fixed price stays the same, no matter which part of Arnhem you live in.

Is a taxi faster than the direct intercity from Arnhem Centraal to Schiphol?+

The direct train takes a good 70 minutes and is a fine option if you travel light and live close to Arnhem Centraal. The taxi wins on door-to-door: no journey to the station first, no lugging suitcases around, and even at 04:00 in the morning or with a party of six you'll still be at Schiphol on time.

What should you book for a business group travelling from IJsseloord 2 to Schiphol?+

For 5 to 8 colleagues the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) at €230 total is usually the logical choice — divided by seven people, you come in under the price of separate train tickets. If two to four people are travelling, Comfort (€175) or Premium with an E-Class (€215) fits. Pick-up at your office reception is standard.
