Your ride from Nijmegen
An 8:00 flight, and there you are with two suitcases and a pushchair in Hatert or Lent — not the moment to gamble on a connection or a packed train. A taxi from Nijmegen to Schiphol is booked through Schipholride for a fixed total fare from €175 (Comfort), and the journey takes around 105 minutes outside rush hour. During the morning or evening peak this can stretch to roughly 135 minutes, so that is taken into account when planning your pickup time. The fare includes VAT, luggage and parking charges at Schiphol; there is no night surcharge, not even if you leave at four in the morning. Alongside Comfort (VW Passat or similar) you can choose Premium (€215), a Van for 5–8 people (€230) or VIP (€360). Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.
From Nijmegen you head via the Neerbosscheweg onto the A73 towards the Ewijk interchange, where you take the A50 across the Waal towards Valburg. From there the route joins the A15 towards Tiel, picks up the A2 at the Deil interchange towards Utrecht, and continues via the Utrecht ring road on to Amsterdam; the final stretch runs along the A9 and A4 to the airport. In total that comes to 124 kilometres. If you live in Nijmegen-Noord or Lent, the driver usually takes the Prins Mauritssingel straight to the A15 at Ressen — which saves crossing the city. The busiest points are on the A50 between Ewijk and Valburg and on the A2 between Deil and the Utrecht ring road, particularly on weekdays between 06:30–09:30 and 15:30–19:00. Outside those windows you cover the route in around 105 minutes; during peak hours it can rise to about 135 minutes.
Pick-up in Nijmegen
Pickups are available throughout Nijmegen: from the centre and Nijmegen-Oost to Dukenburg, Lindenholt, Hatert, Neerbosch-Oost and the new developments in Nijmegen-Noord (Lent and Oosterhout). A pickup address at Nijmegen station, Nijmegen Heyendaal or Nijmegen Dukenburg is no problem either, for instance if you collect colleagues or family first. For the narrow streets of the benedenstad or around the singels, please provide a clear house number; the driver will then find the nearest spot where stopping is allowed. During the third week of July (the Vierdaagse) parts of the centre are closed off — in that case book well in advance and state your exact address, so a reachable pickup point can be arranged.

Frequently asked questions
Can I comfortably make an 8:00 flight from Nijmegen?+
Count on a pickup time around 04:00–04:15. The journey takes roughly 105 minutes outside rush hour, and Schiphol advises being there a good two hours before check-in. That early the A50 and A2 are quiet, and with Schipholride you pay no night surcharge.
There is a direct train from Nijmegen to Schiphol — so why take a taxi?+
True, some intercity services run straight through and take about an hour and a half. The taxi wins on door-to-door: no lugging suitcases to the station, departure at any time you like (including in the dead of night), and with three or four people the fixed fare from €175 quickly becomes comparable.
Do you also pick up in Lent, Oosterhout and the rest of Nijmegen-Noord?+
Yes, the whole of Nijmegen falls within the pickup area, including the Waalsprong districts. From Lent and Oosterhout the driver takes the Prins Mauritssingel straight onto the A15 at Ressen, so you avoid crossing the city. The fixed fare stays the same, whatever your address in the municipality.
How much margin is allowed for traffic on the A50 and near Utrecht?+
Outside rush hour, around 105 minutes is realistic; on weekdays between 06:30–09:30 and 15:30–19:00 the journey can rise to roughly 135 minutes, especially between Ewijk and Valburg and on the A2 towards the Utrecht ring road. Your pickup time is matched to that peak window, so you do not arrive with too little to spare.
Seven of us are travelling from Nijmegen — can that be done in one trip?+
Yes — with the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) 5 to 8 people travel together with luggage for a fixed total fare of €230. Per person that is often cheaper than separate train tickets, and you all leave from one address instead of gathering at the station.
