At the vehicle step of the booking form, tick the child seat option and choose a Maxi-Cosi and/or a toddler seat and the number you need. The €15 is added once, however many seats you select.

The driver brings the right seat
At pickup the seat is already installed in the car. You only click your child in and go.
Two seats
The right seat for babies and toddlers
Both seats are ECE R44/04 or i-Size approved. Choose by your child's age and weight at the vehicle step of the booking form. Booster seats are no longer provided: older children travel in the back with the normal seat belt.
Maxi-Cosi (infant seat)
0 to 13 months, up to 13 kg
Rear-facing and i-Size approved: the safest position for the youngest travellers.
Toddler seat
9 months to 4 years, 9 to 18 kg
Forward-facing with a 5-point harness, ECE R44/04 approved.
What does a taxi with a child seat to Schiphol cost?
A child seat costs €15 per ride on top of the fixed price for your route, charged once however many seats you request. The ride price itself is a total per ride, including VAT, luggage, Schiphol parking fees and live flight tracking, and it is the same in both directions and at any hour. Comfort seats 1 to 4 passengers, the Van up to 8.

Rules and practical matters
Not legally required in a taxi
In the Netherlands the child seat rule for children under 1.35 metres does not apply to taxis: without a seat, those children travel in the back with the normal seat belt. For safety we do recommend a seat for babies and toddlers, so it is available for €15 per ride.
More than one seat
You can request several seats in any combination of Maxi-Cosi and toddler seat. The first seat is guaranteed; extra seats depend on what the carrier has available and may not be present on the day. The €15 is charged once per ride, whatever the number.
Your own seat is welcome
Bringing your own car seat or Maxi-Cosi is free and handy if you need it at your destination. The driver helps with installing it and with packing it up again at Schiphol.
Book ahead when you can
The first seat is arranged as standard. Need more than one? Then book early: extra seats depend on availability, and the sooner the carrier knows, the better the chance that every child has a seat.

About taxis with a child seat
Does a child seat cost extra in the taxi?+
Yes: €15 per ride, charged once regardless of how many seats you request. One Maxi-Cosi plus two toddler seats is still a single charge of €15 on top of the fixed price for your route.
How do I request a child seat?+
At the vehicle step of the booking form, tick the child seat option and choose a Maxi-Cosi and/or a toddler seat and the number of seats. The €15 is added to your price straight away. You do not need to put it in the remarks field or call: the option in the form puts the seat on your booking.
Which child seats do you provide?+
Two types: a Maxi-Cosi (infant seat) for babies from 0 to 13 months up to 13 kg, and a toddler seat for children from 9 months to 4 years, 9 to 18 kg. Booster seats are no longer provided. Older children travel in the back with the normal seat belt, or you bring your own booster free of charge.

Contact us as soon as possible on +31 85 060 2543 or info@schipholride.nl with your booking reference and the seat you need. We check whether it can still be added to your ride (€15 per ride); the sooner you let us know, the better the chance.
