Extras on request and what they cost
Mention them when you book, so the right vehicle is ready. Some items only fit in the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar): choose it in the booking form and you see its fixed price before you pay.
Child seat
€15 per booking
Select a Maxi-Cosi (0 to 13 months) or toddler seat (9 months to 4 years) at the vehicle step when booking. One charge of €15 per booking, however many seats; the first seat is guaranteed, extra seats depend on availability.
Skis or snowboard
Price of the class you choose
Long gear like skis or a snowboard does not always fit in a Comfort sedan. If it doesn't, choose the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) in the booking form, even when you travel alone, and mention the gear.
Golf bags
Price of the class you choose
A single golf bag usually fits in the boot of a Comfort sedan. Travelling with more than one? Choose the Van in the booking form.
Bicycle in a bag
Free
A take-apart bike in a bike bag is fine, and so is a folding bike. An open, uncovered bike is not possible.
Pet
By arrangement
Dog or cat in a transport box: mention it when you book, so it can be arranged with you. Only registered service or assistance dogs may travel without a box (free).
Wheelchair or mobility aid
Folding: free
A folding wheelchair goes in the boot for free. An electric wheelchair needs the Van with low entry: choose the Van in the booking form and mention the wheelchair.
Extra-heavy luggage
Free
Over 23 kg: please mention it when you book. There is no surcharge; it just needs to be known in advance.
Surfboard, SUP or other long items
On request
Up to 2.5 m long: in the Van, with the seats folded. Longer than 2.5 m: not possible.
Questions about luggage in the taxi
What if I have more luggage than fits in a sedan?
Book the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar): it takes 7 large suitcases. The booking form shows the fixed price for the Van next to Comfort, so you see the difference before you pay. One Van is always cheaper than two Comfort cars. More large suitcases than fit in the car? You can still book. We will contact you to find a solution together.
Can I bring a baby travel cot or stroller?
Yes, free of charge. For the ride itself you can add a Maxi-Cosi (0 to 13 months) or toddler seat (9 months to 4 years) at the vehicle step when booking, for €15 per booking.
Can I bring my bike?
Take-apart bike in a bag or hard case: yes, free. Folding bike: yes, free. Open uncovered bike: no (risk of damage and dirt).
What if I forget to declare luggage and it doesn't fit?
Call 085 060 2543 right away. If there is still time, you can switch to the Van and pay the Van price from the booking form. Otherwise the driver may help repack on site. As a last resort: a second vehicle (extra fare).
What luggage is not allowed?
Hazardous goods (flammable, explosive, sharp uncovered). Strong-smelling items (fish, live animals not in a carrier). Open paint cans. When in doubt: info@schipholride.nl.
