Your route and departure time
From Delft there are two sensible motorway routes to Schiphol. From the east and north side (Vrijenban, Wippolder, the old town) you usually take the A13 towards Den Haag and switch to the A4 towards Amsterdam at the Ypenburg interchange.
From Tanthof, Voorhof and Buitenhof, the Kruithuisweg (N470) to the A4 at Den Hoorn is often shorter; after that it is one straight line north. On the A4 you take exit 4 for the terminal. Outside peak hours the 50 kilometres take about 45 minutes.
In the morning rush (roughly 07:00–09:00) the Ypenburg interchange and the A4 between Den Haag and Leiden are the well-known bottlenecks, and travel time can climb to around 65 minutes. The driver picks whichever of the two options is fastest at the time; if there is a jam on the A13, the N470–A4 variant is the alternative.

Which motorway does the trip from Delft to Schiphol take?
Usually via the A13 and the Ypenburg interchange onto the A4 towards Amsterdam, with exit 4 for the terminal. From the south and west side of Delft, the Kruithuisweg (N470) to the A4 at Den Hoorn is often quicker. The driver chooses based on the current traffic.
There's a direct train from Delft to Schiphol, so why take a taxi?
True: the intercity from Delft station runs to Schiphol without a change in about 40 minutes and is cheaper if you're travelling alone with hand luggage. The taxi wins on door-to-door: with lots of suitcases, a flight before the first train, late landings, or with a family or group, you often come out cheaper on balance and certainly more comfortable.
