Bergschenhoek belongs to the Lansingerland municipality, wedged between Rotterdam and the glasshouse country of the Westland. The logical run to Schiphol picks up the A12 towards The Hague from the N209 and switches at the Prins Clausplein onto the A4 northbound, with exit 4 for the terminal.
Those 54 kilometres take about 52 minutes when the roads are quiet. In the morning peak the Prins Clausplein and the A4 stretch past Leiden are the familiar blockages, which can push the journey to around 75 minutes.
