The A12 passes within a stone's throw of Bleiswijk, yet the village at the heart of Lansingerland's glasshouse country has no station of its own. Anyone heading for Schiphol from here is finished sooner by taxi than by any bus-and-train combination.

Your route and departure time
From Bleiswijk the N209 puts you on the A12 towards The Hague within a few minutes. At the Prins Clausplein the route joins the A4 towards Amsterdam, leaving it at exit 4 for the terminal. In light traffic you are underway for some 50 minutes over those 50 kilometres.
The regular hold-ups sit on the A4 stretch past Leiden and at the Prins Clausplein; during the morning peak the ride can therefore lengthen to about 72 minutes. Should the A12 towards The Hague be stationary, the variant via the A16, A20 and A4 around Rotterdam is the alternative the driver can pick.
Because glasshouses and the high-speed rail line border the village, the first stretch to the N209 is normally quiet. SchipholRide plans with a rush-hour margin, so motorway congestion does not eat into your check-in time.
In Bleiswijk the start of the ride is rarely the problem. Between the glasshouses and the HSL line the first kilometre to the N209 is usually quiet, and that road gets you onto the A12 within a few minutes. The slow part comes after The Hague: at the Prins Clausplein and on the A4 past Leiden. That is why the 50-kilometre ride ranges from 50 minutes at night to 72 minutes in the rush.
A long-haul flight at 19:00 shows the difference clearly. Schiphol asks you to be there by 16:00, and because you drive through the afternoon rush, you're collected at 14:30. For a European flight at 07:00 the target is 05:00; the roads are empty then and the car comes at 03:55.
Those times contain 15 minutes of margin. Should the A12 towards The Hague be blocked, the driver can go via the A16, the A20 and the A4 past Rotterdam. Living near the Dorpsstraat or on the Merenweg makes little difference to your pick-up time.
For the fixed fare the hour makes no difference either. No supplement exists for night, weekend or rush hour, and Comfort costs €95.

Pick-up is possible throughout Bleiswijk: from the village centre around the Dorpsstraat and Kerkstraat to the residential areas of De Tuinen and Merenweg and the new housing towards Bergschenhoek. Addresses at the Prisma business park or the glasshouse businesses along the Hoefweg belong to the daily pick-up routine as well.

What do I pay for a taxi from Bleiswijk to Schiphol?

Yes, addresses on Prisma and at the glasshouse firms on the Hoefweg are everyday pick-ups. Give the company name and the driver goes to the right entrance. The invoice shows the VAT. Comfort is €95, Premium €120; VAT, luggage and Schiphol parking costs are covered.

What time should I be ready for an early flight?
Allow about 50 minutes of driving and a good two hours for check-in. For a 07:00 departure that means a pick-up in Bleiswijk around four o'clock. The driver adds margin in the rush hours, and that early ride simply costs the fixed rate without any night supplement.
Bleiswijk has no station. How else would I reach Schiphol?
Without a station you would first take the bus to Zoetermeer or Rotterdam and change onto the train there. A taxi drives you from door to terminal in one go, which with cases, an early flight or a family is usually quicker and more comfortable than those changes.
What if my flight is delayed on the way back?
Your flight is followed live, so the driver knows when you actually land and adjusts accordingly. After landing you also have 60 minutes of free waiting time for luggage and passport control, ample to reach the taxi without hurrying.
Bleiswijk–Schiphol with a team of seven: how do I arrange it?
Book the Van, with room for five to eight people, at €125 in total. Agree on one pick-up address, such as the company or an address in the village centre, so everyone gets in at once. VAT and airport parking are in the price. If the team leaves in the morning rush, allow 72 minutes of driving.
I have a baby. Can a car seat come along from Bleiswijk?
Yes. Add a child seat when you book; it costs €15 per booking, separate from the fare. The driver brings the seat to your address in Bleiswijk, for example in De Tuinen or on the Kerkstraat. That way you don't need to take your own seat to Schiphol and have nothing extra to carry.
