Price certainty on this route

Without a reservation, a street taxi may charge up to about 161 for this ride (±43 km, ±39 min) under the Dutch legal maximum meter rates for 2026. With us the price is fixed at 65 (Comfort) before you book — 59% below that legal maximum.*

And no surge pricing like ride-hailing apps: your fare doesn't rise with rain, rush hour or an early-morning flight — and traffic jams or detours don't change it either. The amount you see when booking from Voorburg is the amount on your receipt.

  • No night surcharge
  • No weekend or holiday surcharge
  • No rush-hour surcharge
  • No luggage fee
  • No booking or payment fees

Never settle up in the taxi — no cash, no card terminal stress. Business trip? An invoice with VAT is available too.

* Comparison with the Dutch legal maximum taxi tariffs 2026 (passenger car: €4,31 start + €3,17/km + €0,52/min, wetten.overheid.nl), calculated over the usual off-peak travel time. Street taxis may charge less than the maximum; actual savings vary per ride. Full calculation per city.

Your ride from Voorburg

Voorburg wears its history openly: this is where the Roman settlement of Forum Hadriani stood, on the Vliet canal sits Huygens' country retreat Hofwijck, and the Huygenskwartier around the Herenstraat counts as one of the oldest shopping areas in the country.

To Schiphol it's 43 kilometres from here, about 39 minutes outside rush hour. Schipholride applies a fixed total price for that: €65 in Comfort, €80 in Premium, €85 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €150 for VIP. VAT, luggage and the parking charges at Schiphol are already in it, and no night or public-holiday surcharge is added.

You reserve at least 1 hour in advance with direct online payment, so the price is fixed before your case is even in the car.

Which way you head depends on your street. From the southern part your driver takes the Prinses Mariannelaan and the Utrechtsebaan to the Prins Clausplein; from Essesteijn or Voorburg-Noord the N14 with the Sijtwende tunnels is closer, after which you join the A4 at Leidschendam.

From that point it's one straight line northbound: past Zoeterwoude and Leiden, over the Ringvaart aqueduct towards the Burgerveen interchange, and on to the Schiphol exit. Outside rush hour that 43-kilometre route asks about 39 minutes.

Delay mainly arises at the Prins Clausplein and on the A4 around Leiden and Burgerveen; in the morning peak the journey rises towards 56 minutes. If the A4 is blocked, the A44 via Wassenaar and Sassenheim is the usual diversion.

Your pick-up time is matched to the congestion likely at that time of day.

Pick-up in Voorburg

The pick-up area spans all of Voorburg: Essesteijn and Voorburg-Noord, Bovenveen, Damsigt and the quarters around 't Loo, plus the old core along the Vliet. Voorburg station and the RandstadRail halt Voorburg 't Loo are nearby, but without a change in The Hague or Leiden you won't reach the airport; with luggage that weighs heavily.

If your driver enters a narrow street by the water, he calls ahead to agree where he can stop. State your address when booking and, if useful, the nearest side street.

Areas served: Essesteijn · Damsigt · Voorburg-Noord · Bovenveen · 't Loo — stations: Voorburg, Voorburg 't Loo (RandstadRail)

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Voorburg

The return trip begins at the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza. Your flight is tracked live, so if the aircraft lands later than planned the pick-up moment shifts along, plus 60 minutes of free waiting time.

Outside rush hour you're back in Voorburg in about 39 minutes. If the ride falls in the evening peak, your driver chooses between the A4 and the A44 based on the live traffic information.

Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions

What does the taxi Voorburg to Schiphol cost?+

The fixed total price is €65 for Comfort, €80 for Premium, €85 for the Van seating five to eight and €150 for VIP. VAT, luggage and parking at the airport are included, even for a ride in the middle of the night.

What time do I leave Voorburg for a 09:00 flight?+

Allow about 39 minutes' driving time outside rush hour, plus a good two hours for check-in and security. For a 09:00 flight that comes out at a pick-up around 06:00, with some extra margin because that falls in the morning peak near the Prins Clausplein.

Why not simply the train from Voorburg station?+

There's no direct train: you change in The Hague or Leiden before you reach Schiphol. With lots of luggage, young children or an early flight, one car from doorstep to departure hall soon beats two changes.

Can I travel on business and receive an invoice?+

Yes, give the company address and the desired invoicing details when booking. The driver waits at the agreed entrance and, thanks to the fixed rate, the travel cost is known in advance, which makes claiming expenses a good deal simpler.

What happens if my return flight is delayed?+

Your driver follows the flight status and matches the pick-up moment to the actual landing time. After that you still have 60 minutes of free waiting time, so even with a long queue at passport control there's nothing to worry about.

How much do I pay per person?+

Nothing extra: the fixed price is per ride, not per person. Whether you travel alone or with four people in a Comfort, the amount stays the same.

Can I book a return trip in one go?+

Yes, you arrange your outbound and return ride in one booking with the return option in the booking flow. For the return your driver tracks your flight and 60 minutes of free waiting time apply.

Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+

For a longer trip it often is: you pay one fixed fare instead of parking fees per day, and you don't have to haul your cases from P3 to the terminal. Compare your own route with the price calculator.
