Taxi Boskoop to Schiphol

Almost without exception the road runs via the N207 and N11 to the A4 at Leiden, then north towards the terminal with exit 4 as the endpoint. At a calm pace, count some 38 minutes for those 35 kilometres. Hold-ups collect on the N11 around Alphen aan den Rijn and on the A4 section between Leiden and the airport; in the morning crush the travel time can climb towards 55 minutes.

Because Boskoop forms a ribbon along the Gouwe and the river splits it in two, your bank determines the opening kilometres; the lift bridge and the little ferry sometimes play a part in that. When the N11 is busy, the driver takes the detour via Gouda and the A12.

The pick-up time carries a rush-hour margin, so a hold-up never touches your check-in.

Boskoop is a ribbon along the Gouwe, and if you live on the far bank, the lift bridge or the ferry can come into play before the ride properly starts. After that you nearly always follow the N207 and the N11 to the A4 near Leiden.

In calm traffic the 35 kilometres take 38 minutes; when it's busy that rises to 55 minutes, mainly because of the N11 around Alphen aan den Rijn and the A4 between Leiden and Schiphol.

The two examples show how that works out. For a European flight at 07:00 you want to be in the departures hall at 05:00, and a pick-up at 04:05 is then enough; the roads are quiet at that hour. A long-haul flight at 19:00 calls for an arrival at 16:00.

You'll drive through the afternoon rush, so the driver comes at 14:50. Both times allow for 15 minutes of margin. If the N11 is full, the driver can go round via Gouda and the A12. From Waterrijk or Snijdelwijk the sum works the same as from the village heart around the Kerkplein. The time of day doesn't matter for the price: there's no night, weekend or rush-hour surcharge, and Comfort costs €75.

You can be collected anywhere in Boskoop: from the village heart around the Kerkplein and the Zijde to the districts of Snijdelwijk, De Loete and Torenpad-Oost and the Waterrijk new-build on the edge. Addresses at the nurseries and on the Reijerskoop and Distripark A12 sites are regular pick-up spots too.
