Hazerswoude is really two villages in one: Hazerswoude-Dorp and Hazerswoude-Rijndijk, set in the Green Heart between Alphen aan den Rijn and Leiden. The airport lies closer than many would guess; by taxi you are there in no time.
One fixed total applies, which for Comfort comes to €75. Over 34 kilometres you count some 31 minutes at a calm pace, and in the morning crush that can rise to about 45. VAT, luggage and airport parking are already included in that amount, and a night surcharge is never added.
Stepping up in luxury goes via Premium (€92, Mercedes E-Class or similar), the eight-seat Van (€98, V-Class or similar) or VIP (€178, S-Class or similar). Cancelling costs nothing until a day before the pick-up time.
Your route and departure time
From either core the road usually runs via the N11 towards Leiden, where you join the A4 towards Amsterdam and leave it at exit 4 by the terminal. From Hazerswoude-Rijndijk you are on the N11 almost at once; from Hazerswoude-Dorp you first reach it via the N209 or N455.
A clear road here means 34 kilometres in roughly 31 minutes. Hold-ups sit on the N11 and on the A4 between Leiden and the airport; in the morning crush the ride can therefore lengthen to about 45 minutes. When the A4 is full, the stretch via the A44 past Sassenheim serves as the alternative.
With polder and the Oude Rijn wrapped around both cores, the approach to the N11 stays short and simple. Your departure time is planned more generously whenever the rush hour demands it.
Which village you live in makes a difference to the first kilometres. From Hazerswoude-Rijndijk you are straight onto the N11 towards Leiden. From Hazerswoude-Dorp you first get there via the N209 or the N455.
From Leiden onwards the route is the same for everyone: the A4 towards Amsterdam and exit 4 at the terminal. On a clear road the 34-kilometre ride takes 31 minutes. In the morning and afternoon traffic it becomes 45 minutes, because of queues on the N11 and on the A4 between Leiden and Schiphol.
Flying to a European destination at 07:00, your arrival time at Schiphol is 05:00 and the driver comes at 04:10. For a long-haul flight at 19:00 you need to be there by 16:00; because of the afternoon rush you then set off at 15:00.
Those pick-up times contain 15 minutes of margin. If you live in Hazerswoude-Dorp or Groenendijk, bear in mind that the run to the N11 is a little longer than from the Rijndijk. The time of day changes nothing about the fixed fare. With no supplement for night, weekend or rush hour, you pay €75 for Comfort.

Both cores are served: in Hazerswoude-Dorp around the Dorpsstraat and the newer streets, and in Hazerswoude-Rijndijk along the Rijndijk and the districts by the Oude Rijn. The hamlet of Groenendijk and addresses on the Hoogeveenseweg and Rijneveld business sites belong to the daily routine as well.

Yes, both cores fall inside the pick-up area, as does the hamlet of Groenendijk. Make clear at booking which core and address you live at, and the driver heads for exactly the right spot. The fixed price from €75 applies to either.
When do I need to leave for an 08:00 flight?
Take some 31 minutes of driving plus a good two hours of check-in time. For an 08:00 departure the pick-up in Hazerswoude comes out around a quarter past five. In busier periods the driver plans extra margin, and you pay the fixed rate without any night supplement.
Which road does the driver take to the airport?
As standard via the N11 to Leiden and then the A4 northbound, with exit 4 at the terminal. If the A4 is jammed, the A44 past Sassenheim is the fallback. The driver judges from live traffic which of the two runs smoothest.
Can the ride stop in Alphen or Leiden along the way?
An extra pick-up point is easily passed on at booking, for instance to bring a fellow traveller from Alphen aan den Rijn or Leiden along. For a small group the eight-seat Van at €98 is often the handiest and cheapest option.
