Your ride from Gouda
Gouda has no single motorway running straight to Schiphol, so the quickest route stitches together the A12, the N11 and the N207 before finally joining the A4 near Leimuiden: 48 kilometres that take around 50 minutes outside the rush hour.
For this journey Schipholride charges a fixed all-in price from €80, with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included, and there is no night surcharge. You pick your own class: Comfort (€80, VW Passat or similar), Premium (€100, Mercedes E-Class or similar), Van for 5-8 people (€105, V-Class or similar) or VIP (€180, S-Class or similar).
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. If you are being collected at the airport, your flight is tracked live and you get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing — handy in a town that draws so many international visitors to its famous cheese market.
The journey usually begins at the Goudse Poort, joining the A12 towards Utrecht before switching at Bodegraven onto the N459 and then the N11 towards Alphen aan den Rijn. From there the driver heads north on the N207, past Alphen and through Leimuiden, until it meets the A4 for the final run to the Schiphol exit.
Outside the rush hour those 48 kilometres take around 50 minutes. The weak link is the N207: much of it is single-carriageway provincial road, and between roughly 07:00-09:00 and 16:00-18:00 it backs up around Alphen and Leimuiden, pushing the total to around 75 minutes.
The driver factors this into the pick-up time and, when things grind to a halt, can divert via the A12 and A4 past The Hague — more kilometres, but sometimes faster than sitting still on the provincial road.
Pick-up in Gouda
You can be collected anywhere in Gouda: from Korte Akkeren and Kort Haarlem to Bloemendaal, Plaswijck, Goverwelle, Achterwillens and the newer Westergouwe estate on the western edge. Many streets in the historic centre are narrow or low-traffic, so give your exact address when you book and the driver will stop as close to the door as possible.
On Thursday mornings during the cheese-market season the area around the Markt is partly closed off — allow a few extra minutes or choose a pick-up point at the edge of the centre, such as Gouda station. The Goudse Poort business park, right beside the A12, is the natural starting point for corporate trips.
Areas served: Binnenstad · Korte Akkeren · Kort Haarlem · Bloemendaal · Plaswijck · Goverwelle · Achterwillens · Westergouwe — stations: Gouda, Gouda Goverwelle
Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Gouda
Coming back to Gouda, a taxi really earns its keep in the evening and overnight: there is no direct train from Schiphol to Gouda, so public transport still leaves you with a change even after a long flight. The driver brings you back in around 50 minutes and drops you right at the door, whether that is in Westergouwe or out at Stolwijkersluis.
Your flight is tracked live, so a delay simply means the driver is ready at the right moment, and the fixed price stays the same at any hour — there is no night surcharge.

Top chauffeur, uitstekende rit!
Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
What time should I leave Gouda for an 08:00 flight?+
Work backwards: for an 08:00 departure you want to be at Schiphol by around 06:00, allowing a good two hours for check-in and security. The journey takes around 50 minutes outside the rush hour, so a pick-up around 05:00 gives you comfortable margin. That early the N207 is still quiet, and because there is no night surcharge you simply pay the fixed price.
Which roads does the driver take from Gouda to Schiphol?+
Usually the A12 to Bodegraven, then the N11 past Alphen aan den Rijn and the N207 through Leimuiden to the A4 — 48 kilometres in all. If the N207 is jammed, the driver can divert via the A12 and A4 past The Hague; that adds kilometres but avoids standing still on the single-carriageway provincial road, which often works out quicker during the rush hour.
Can I be collected anywhere in Gouda, including Westergouwe?+
Yes. Schipholride arranges trips from every part of the town: the Binnenstad, Korte Akkeren, Kort Haarlem, Bloemendaal, Plaswijck, Goverwelle, Achterwillens and the newer Westergouwe estate. In the low-traffic historic centre the driver stops as close to your address as the streets allow; on Thursday market mornings a pick-up point at the edge of the centre is sometimes the easier choice.
Isn't the train from Gouda to Schiphol a better option?+
The train is a perfectly good choice, but there is no direct service: you change at least once on the way and spend roughly 50 to 60 minutes en route, not counting the trip to the station. With a lot of luggage, a group or an early-morning flight, a door-to-door taxi is often the calmer option, especially after a long day exploring the cheese market and the historic Markt.
What does a minibus for a group from Gouda to Schiphol cost?+
A Van (V-Class or similar) for 5 to 8 people is a fixed €105 all-in — split between eight that is barely over €15 a head, with VAT, luggage and the parking at Schiphol already included. There is no night surcharge, and for a return trip your flight is tracked live with 60 minutes of free waiting after you land.
Where does the taxi drop me off at Schiphol?+
Your driver drops you off at the departure hall, as close to your check-in as possible. Schiphol's parking and pick-up fees are already included in your fixed price.
How early should I be at Schiphol before my flight?+
Schiphol recommends 2 hours for a European flight and 3 hours for an intercontinental one. Your driver plans the pickup time around that, with a margin for rush hour.
How much do I pay per person?+
Nothing extra: the fixed price is per ride, not per person. Whether you travel alone or with four people in a Comfort, the amount stays the same.
