Your ride from Westland
From the Westland, the greenhouse capital of the Netherlands, you reach Schiphol in one largely unbroken run: leave Naaldwijk or 's-Gravenzande on the N211 Wippolderlaan, join the A4 at Den Haag-Zuid and follow it straight to the airport exit. That is 59 kilometres and around 55 minutes outside the rush hour. For this journey Schipholride offers a fixed all-in price from €95 (Comfort), with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included, and there is no night surcharge. During the morning rush the drive can stretch to roughly 80 minutes. The region has no railway station of its own, so by public transport you must first take a bus or tram to Den Haag or Delft before heading on. A door-to-door taxi removes that change entirely, which is handy with luggage, on early flights, or when you set off from one of the eleven horticultural villages. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.
From Naaldwijk, Honselersdijk and Kwintsheul the N222 (Veilingroute), the road that serves Royal FloraHolland and the World Horti Center, is the natural feeder; from Monster, Poeldijk and 's-Gravenzande the N211 carries you the same way. Both meet on the N211 Wippolderlaan, which puts you onto the A4 at the Den Haag-Zuid junction. After that it is a single motorway: the A4 past Rijswijk, Leidschendam and Leiden to the Schiphol exit. The Wippolderlaan is the known bottleneck, where commuter and greenhouse-haulage traffic snarls up at peak times, which is exactly why the province is widening the stretch between the A4 and the N222. Allow extra time between 7:00 and 9:30 and between 16:00 and 18:30, when the trip can climb to around 80 minutes. From Maasdijk the driver can also reach the A4 via the A20 and the Kethelplein interchange if the Westland route is blocked. Outside the rush hour you stand at the departure hall in roughly 55 minutes.
Pick-up in Westland
Schipholride arranges pick-up across all eleven villages of the municipality: from Wateringen and Kwintsheul on the Den Haag side to Maasdijk and Ter Heijde at the far edges. There is no railway station anywhere in the Westland, and the nearest tram, line 17, simply terminates at Wateringen, so you are collected at home instead. A business address works just as well, whether that is the auction and trade complexes such as ABC Westland in Poeldijk and Honderdland in Maasdijk, or an office at Royal FloraHolland in Naaldwijk. On the narrow growers' lanes and sprawling greenhouse estates, mention a recognisable landmark when you book so your driver waits at exactly the right spot.

Pick-up from Schiphol
On the return leg to the Westland the fixed price is identical to the outbound journey, including at night, because there is no night surcharge. If you are being collected at Schiphol, the flight is tracked live and you get 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing, so a delay is no problem. Land on a Friday afternoon and bear in mind that the Wippolderlaan towards the villages can be just as busy as the other way; your driver knows the A20 alternative.

Is there a direct train from the Westland to Schiphol?+
No. The Westland has no railway station at all; by public transport you first take a bus or tram to Den Haag or Delft and change onto the train there. There is no surcharge for the outer villages.
Can I be booked from my horticulture business to Schiphol as well?+
Certainly. Business pick-up addresses such as ABC Westland in Poeldijk, Honderdland in Maasdijk, Royal FloraHolland or the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk are no problem at all.
