Your taxi from Westland to Schiphol Airport
From the Westland, the greenhouse capital of the Netherlands, you reach Schiphol in one largely unbroken run: leave Naaldwijk or 's-Gravenzande on the N211 Wippolderlaan, join the A4 at Den Haag-Zuid and follow it straight to the airport exit.
That is 59 kilometres and around 55 minutes outside the rush hour. For this journey SchipholRide offers a fixed all-in price from €95 (Comfort). VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol are included, and there is no night surcharge.
During the morning rush the drive can stretch to roughly 80 minutes. The region has no railway station of its own. By public transport you therefore take a bus or tram to Den Haag or Delft first, and change onto the train there.
A door-to-door Schiphol taxi removes that change entirely, which helps with luggage, on early flights, or when you set off from one of the eleven horticultural villages. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Your route and departure time
From Naaldwijk, Honselersdijk and Kwintsheul the N222 (Veilingroute), the road that serves Royal FloraHolland and the World Horti Center, is the natural feeder; from Monster, Poeldijk and 's-Gravenzande the N211 carries you the same way.
Both meet on the N211 Wippolderlaan, which puts you onto the A4 at the Den Haag-Zuid junction. After that it is a single motorway: the A4 past Rijswijk, Leidschendam and Leiden to the Schiphol exit. The Wippolderlaan is the known bottleneck, where commuter and greenhouse-haulage traffic snarls up at peak times, which is exactly why the province is widening the stretch between the A4 and the N222.
Allow extra time between 7:00 and 9:30 and between 16:00 and 18:30, when the trip can climb to around 80 minutes. From Maasdijk the driver can also reach the A4 via the A20 and the Kethelplein interchange if the Westland route is blocked.
Outside the rush hour you stand at the departure hall in roughly 55 minutes. For a Schiphol taxi from the Westland the driver checks the live traffic picture before fixing your pick-up time, because the Wippolderlaan alone can add half an hour to the run.

Are all the villages in the municipality collected for the same price?
Yes. Whether you live in Naaldwijk, 's-Gravenzande, Monster, De Lier or Ter Heijde, the fixed price covers the entire municipality. Comfort is €95, Premium €120, a Van for 5 to 8 people €125 and VIP €215, and these are complete fares with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included.
There is no surcharge for the outer villages.

How bad is the rush hour on the Wippolderlaan towards the A4?
The N211 Wippolderlaan is the busiest point on the route, which is why the province is widening it from two to three lanes each way. Between 7:00 and 9:30 the whole trip to Schiphol can climb to around 80 minutes, against roughly 55 minutes off-peak.
Factor this in when you choose your pick-up time, especially during peak greenhouse-haulage hours.
Can I be booked from my horticulture business to Schiphol as well?
Certainly. Business pick-up addresses such as ABC Westland in Poeldijk, Honderdland in Maasdijk, Royal FloraHolland or the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk are no problem at all. For trade delegations or teams of up to 8 people you book the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar, €125); for clients you want to impress, Premium or VIP gives extra comfort on the way to the airport.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?
For a longer trip it often is: you pay one fixed fare instead of parking fees per day, and you don't have to haul your cases from P3 to the terminal. Compare your own route with the price calculator.
How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible.
Booking earlier is always wise, especially in holiday periods.

What time should I leave the Westland for an 08:00 flight?
Count back from your departure: allow a good two hours for check-in and security, plus around 55 minutes on the road outside the rush hour. For a flight at 08:00 you would be collected at roughly 05:00. If your trip falls in the morning rush from about 07:00, allow up to 80 minutes and plan a correspondingly earlier pick-up to keep a comfortable margin.
Is there a direct train from the Westland to Schiphol?
No. The Westland has no railway station at all; by public transport you first take a bus or tram to Den Haag or Delft and change onto the train there. With luggage or an early flight that is awkward, so a taxi that collects you at home and sets you down at the departure hall without a single change is usually the more practical choice.
