From the village your driver takes the Zuideinde or Nieuwland to the N247, the through road between Purmerend and Amsterdam. Southbound you pass Het Schouw and Landsmeer and come out in Amsterdam-Noord, where the A10 ring begins.
Through the Coentunnel it heads to the west side of the city and then via the A10-West and the De Nieuwe Meer interchange onto the A4 towards the airport. Those 33 kilometres take about 34 minutes outside rush hour.
The known bottlenecks are the traffic lights on the N247 at Het Schouw and the approach to the Coentunnel: in the morning peak the journey can rise towards 50 minutes. If the Coentunnel is jammed, the route via the IJtunnel and the east side of the ring is an alternative.
Because the village has no motorway at the door, a peak ride is planned with some extra margin as standard.
