Your ride from Muiden
Muiden guards the spot where the Vecht empties into the IJmeer, its skyline defined by the Muiderslot castle; administratively the little fortress town now falls under Gooise Meren. Schiphol is within easy reach (30 kilometres, about 31 minutes when the roads are clear), and with no railway station in town, a fixed-price taxi removes the puzzle of buses and changes.
Rates are locked at booking: €55 in Comfort (VW Passat or similar), €70 in Premium (Mercedes E-Class or similar), €75 for the Van with up to eight seats (V-Class or similar) and €135 in VIP (S-Class or similar).
VAT, luggage and the Schiphol parking sit inside those figures, and a collection long before sunrise costs not a cent more. For the flight home, the driver follows your status and shifts the pick-up if the aircraft lands early or late.
The A1 passes practically alongside the town, so the driver is on the motorway within moments. From there the route runs west towards the Watergraafsmeer interchange, over the A10-east and the southern ring, joining the A4 at De Nieuwe Meer for the run to the Schiphol exit.
Outside the peaks you stand before the departure hall after some 31 minutes and 30 kilometres. The stretch is short and clear-cut; virtually all the delay lives on the A10-south around the Zuidas, which seizes up in the morning and evening rush.
In those windows the ride can head towards three quarters of an hour. As an alternative the driver can take the A9 past Diemen and Amstelveen, steering clear of the Zuidas. The rush-hour risk is priced into your pick-up time, leaving ample margin at check-in.
Pick-up in Muiden
Collection happens throughout Muiden: inside the fortress with its narrow streets around the Muiderslot, and in the De Krijgsman new-build on the IJmeer side. Neighbouring Muiderberg, with its little IJmeer beach, falls inside the pick-up area as well.
In the old core the driver stops as close to your address as possible or just around the corner; give the exact address at booking. Muiden itself has no railway station (the nearest are Weesp and Naarden-Bussum), so nearly every ride begins at home.
A pick-up by the Muiderslot or the marina is equally easy to arrange.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Muiden
Getting back to Muiden by public transport means a bus or a station in a neighbouring town, which makes the taxi home especially practical. Your driver covers the roughly 31 minutes from Schiphol to the door at any hour, following the flight so a delay is folded into the pick-up moment automatically.

Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
How much does a taxi from Muiden to the airport cost?+
Comfort rides at €55, Premium at €70, the Van (up to eight people) at €75 and VIP at €135. VAT, luggage and the airport parking belong to the fare, so the final price stands firm at reservation.
Do you also collect in Muiderberg?+
Yes. Both Muiden within the fortress and neighbouring Muiderberg fall inside the pick-up area. Provide your address when booking and the driver comes to the door, whether in the old core or the De Krijgsman new-build.
What about rush hour on the way to Schiphol?+
Off-peak the trip takes about 31 minutes via the A1 and the A10 ring. When the A10-south near the Zuidas fills up in the morning or evening, it can head towards three quarters of an hour and the driver may divert via the A9 past Amstelveen.
Can I request a child seat for my child?+
Choose a Maxi-Cosi (infant seat, 0 to 13 months, up to 13 kg) or toddler seat (9 months to 4 years, 9 to 18 kg) at the vehicle step of the booking form, for €15 per ride, charged once. A family from Muiden then travels safely without bringing a seat along themselves; the first seat is guaranteed, extra seats are subject to availability.
Do I get free waiting time on my return at Schiphol?+
Yes, an hour of free waiting time applies after landing. Because the driver follows your flight live, the pick-up moment shifts automatically with any delay, so there is no fear of extra costs or a missed driver.
Where does the taxi drop me off at Schiphol?+
Your driver drops you off at the departure hall, as close to your check-in as possible. Schiphol's parking and pick-up fees are already included in your fixed price.
How early should I be at Schiphol before my flight?+
Schiphol recommends 2 hours for a European flight and 3 hours for an intercontinental one. Your driver plans the pickup time around that, with a margin for rush hour.
How much do I pay per person?+
Nothing extra: the fixed price is per ride, not per person. Whether you travel alone or with four people in a Comfort, the amount stays the same.
