From the old town you take the Bernhardlaan onto the N247 and straight south towards Amsterdam. Past Broek in Waterland it heads to the Het Schouw junction, where the provincial road becomes the A10-Noord. Then follow the Coentunnel, the A10-West and the De Nieuwe Meer interchange.
The A4 delivers you to the Schiphol exit. Outside rush hour that takes about 38 minutes. In the morning the stretch between Monnickendam and Het Schouw is the bottleneck: one lane each way and lots of commuter traffic from all of Waterland.
Together with the Coentunnel the ride then rises towards 55 minutes. The province is also working on the N247 with a dedicated bus lane and adjusted junctions at the Bernhardlaan, so a diversion regularly applies.
Your driver checks the live situation just before departure and, if needed, diverts via Katwoude and Edam to the N244 and the A7.
Pick-up in Monnickendam
Drivers pick up throughout the town: in the old town around the Kerkstraat and the harbour, in De Zarken, in the Galgeriet being redeveloped as Gouwhaven, and by the Hemmeland recreation area with its marinas.
