From Zwanenburg the route to Schiphol is almost a straight line across the polder. You leave the village along the Zwanenburgbaan — the polder road that lent its name to the runway — or the parallel IJweg, then turn onto the N232 Schipholweg, which follows the edge of the airport grounds all the way to the terminal.
With clear roads the 10 kilometres take around 14 minutes; in rush hour, when traffic thickens near Badhoevedorp and the airport approach roads, count on about 22 minutes. Your driver knows the polder roads well and picks whichever side is flowing fastest to the right departure hall that day.
Pick-up in Zwanenburg
The driver collects you anywhere in the village: on the Dennenlaan shopping street, along the Zwanenburgerdijk beside the Ringvaart, or in the residential streets towards the IJweg. An address just outside the centre — a business on one of the polder roads, for instance — is no problem either.
