Reeuwijk lies on the famous Reeuwijkse Plassen, a patchwork of peat lakes just above Gouda in the heart of the Groene Hart. Reckon from the Reeuwijkse Plassen on 39 kilometres to Schiphol, or a short hour outside rush hour.

Reserving from the Reeuwijkse Plassen is possible up to at the latest 1 hour ahead; payment runs online, after which the price is fixed unchangeably.
From Reeuwijk your driver rides along the lakes to the N459 or via Reeuwijk-Brug to the connection with the A12 at Gouda. From the A12 it goes westbound towards the Gouwe interchange, after which via the N11 or the A12 and the N207 the route runs to the Haarlemmermeer and the A4, with the Schiphol exit as endpoint.
An alternative goes north via Bodegraven and Alphen aan den Rijn. The sensitive point is around Gouda and the Gouwe interchange: that can fill in the peak, certainly towards The Hague and Rotterdam. The narrow roads between the Reeuwijkse lakes ask for some calm driving at the start.
Outside rush hour you stay around three quarters of an hour with those 39 kilometres; in the morning peak it can rise towards an hour.
