Your ride from Nieuwkoop
Nieuwkoop lies on the edge of the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, a nature area of reed, peat and open water in the middle of the Groene Hart. Reckon from the Nieuwkoopse Plassen on 27 kilometres to Schiphol, or about half an hour outside rush hour.
The rate from Ter Aar is fixed in advance: in Comfort €50, in Premium €65, in the Van €70 and in VIP €90, with VAT and parking charges included. The price doesn't change with the hour of departure by Langeraar — night rides and public holidays carry no surcharge.
Reserving from the Nieuwkoopse Plassen is possible up to at the latest 1 hour ahead; payment runs online, after which the price is fixed unchangeably.
The ride from Nieuwkoop begins over the narrow roads along the lakes, via the Zuideinde or the N231 towards Ter Aar and Nieuwveen. After that your driver takes the N207 or the N231 to the A4, which gives the Schiphol exit at Hoofddorp.
An alternative runs via Uithoorn and the N201 to Schiphol-Oost, handy if it jams on the A4. The sensitive stretches are at the start: the country lanes around the Nieuwkoopse Plassen are narrow and sometimes one-way, and at Ter Aar the bridge over the Aarkanaal route can cause a holdup.
Once on the motorway it goes smoothly. Outside rush hour you stay well within the half hour with those 27 kilometres; in the morning peak towards Amsterdam it can rise to three quarters of an hour.
Pick-up in Nieuwkoop
You're picked up throughout the Nieuwkoop municipality: in Nieuwkoop village, in Noorden and Woerdense Verlaat on the lake side, and in the cores of Ter Aar, Langeraar and Nieuwveen. Addresses by the marinas and on the Schoterhoek business estate fall within the area too.
If you live on one of the dead-end dyke lanes along the water, give your full address with house number — turning there is awkward and your driver plans time for it. Enter your house number in Noorden, Ter Aar or Langeraar in full when reserving, and the car drives right up to your front door on time.

Does a ride from Langeraar cost a fixed amount?+
A taxi from the Nieuwkoopse Plassen to Schiphol costs you €50 (Comfort) to €90 (VIP), with €65 for Premium and €70 for the Van in between; everything including VAT and parking.
Why a taxi and not public transport?+
The bus journey from Nieuwkoop runs via Alphen aan den Rijn and costs a fair bit of time with a change. Driving from Langeraar is with luggage almost always handier.
When am I picked up for an early flight?+
Plan from Ter Aar about half an hour for the ride and a good two hours for the handling at the airport; if your departure falls in the peak, the pick-up time moves forward a bit.
Best choice for a group?+
Then choose the Van, a Mercedes V-Class with room for five to eight passengers plus cases; from the area of the Nieuwkoopse Plassen it costs €70 as a fixed total amount, better than two separate cars.
How does cancelling from Ter Aar work?+
With a report at least 4 hours before the pick-up time we move your ride from Langeraar without cost, or you get half back; giving it later can no longer be done free.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+

How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise — especially in holiday periods.
