Your ride from Kwadijk
Kwadijk is a ribbon village of about eight hundred residents, three kilometres above Purmerend and, since the reorganisation, part of the Edam-Volendam municipality. It consists mainly of one winding street on the old dyke, with the flat edge of Purmerend on one side and the wide Zeevangspolder on the other.
To the airport it's 43 kilometres, about 41 minutes outside rush hour. The price is fixed in advance: €75 in Comfort, €95 in Premium, €100 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €175 for VIP, each time including VAT, luggage and the parking charges at Schiphol.
Surcharges for night, public holiday or extra cases don't exist. You book at least 1 hour ahead and settle online straight away, so there's nothing left to arrange along the way.
From the ribbon you're on the N244 within two minutes, the road linking Edam and Volendam with the A7 and forming here the divide between the built-up area of Purmerend and the polder land. At Purmerend you turn onto the A7 towards the Zaandam interchange, where the ride switches to the A8 to the Coenplein.
Then it's through the Coentunnel, over the A10-West to the De Nieuwe Meer interchange and via the A4 to the Schiphol exit: 43 kilometres, about 41 minutes outside rush hour. Delay rarely arises in Kwadijk itself but almost always further on, on the A7 and A8 towards the Coentunnel.
In the morning peak the ride can therefore rise towards 59 minutes. If that corridor is completely blocked, your driver sometimes picks the calmer side of Waterland: via Edam and the N247 past Monnickendam to Het Schouw and the ring around Amsterdam.
Pick-up in Kwadijk
The pick-up address is usually a home on the ribbon itself, from the church to the head by the polder dyke, but the side roads towards the meadows and the neighbouring hamlet of Hobrede belong to the area too.
The through street is narrow and there's little room to turn along the dyke, so enter your house number in full; the driver then finds a suitable stopping spot beforehand. Kwadijk has no station, the train leaves from Purmerend.
It's precisely that extra link with luggage that a taxi removes.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Kwadijk
For the ride back you needn't arrange anything: your driver looks at the actual landing time and waits at the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza. After landing, 60 minutes of free waiting time runs, ample for customs and the baggage belt.
Some 41 minutes later you're back on the ribbon. In the event of a cancelled flight you report it at least 4 hours ahead and rebook the ride free of charge to another day.

Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
How much does a ride from Kwadijk to Schiphol cost?+
The fixed total price is €75 in Comfort, €95 in Premium, €100 for the Van seating five to eight and €175 for VIP. VAT, cases and the parking charges at the airport are already in it.
Where do I find my driver when I return to Schiphol?+
At the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza, after customs. You get your driver's details beforehand, so you can reach him straight away if you happen to miss each other.
What time is best to leave for a morning flight?+
Outside rush hour the ride takes about 41 minutes, in the morning peak a quarter of an hour longer. Add a good two hours' check-in time to that and book the pick-up time a touch too early rather than too late.
Is a child seat available?+
On request, yes. Give your child's age at booking, and a suitable seat or booster is ready and nothing changes about the agreed total price of the ride.
Do I pay in advance or afterwards?+
In advance, directly at online booking and at least 1 hour before the pick-up time. That fixes the amount and means nothing needs settling in the car, not even on a longer route.
How much do I pay per person?+
Nothing extra: the fixed price is per ride, not per person. Whether you travel alone or with four people in a Comfort, the amount stays the same.
Can I book a return trip in one go?+
Yes, you arrange your outbound and return ride in one booking with the return option in the booking flow. For the return your driver tracks your flight and 60 minutes of free waiting time apply.
Do I get an invoice with VAT for my ride?+
Yes. Book in your company's name and you receive an invoice with a VAT specification — useful for your records or expense claim.
