Your route and departure time
The standard route leaves Almelo on the A35 to the Azelo interchange, where the driver turns west onto the A1. That motorway carries you a long way: past Deventer, Apeldoorn and Amersfoort, until the road swings towards Amsterdam at the Eemnes and Muiderberg interchanges.
From there the driver reaches the A4 to the terminal via the Diemen interchange or the A10 ring. Off-peak, the whole journey takes around 131 minutes. Between Apeldoorn and Amersfoort, and around the Hoevelaken interchange, the A1 regularly grinds to a halt during the day. That stretch decides how early you leave Almelo. For an intercontinental flight at 19:00, Schiphol advises being inside 3 hours ahead, at 16:00.

Living in the car-free centre around the Grotestraat, agree on a pick-up spot at its edge. In Nijrees, Windmolenbroek or Aadorp the car simply pulls up, and in Sluitersveld or Schelfhorst you board at your own front door as well.
At 02:30 you pay the same as at 12:55: €235 in Comfort, since there is no surcharge for night hours, weekends or rush hour.
