Your ride from Enschede
A taxi from Enschede to Schiphol can be booked through Schipholride for a fixed all-in price from €240 (Comfort, VW Passat or similar), including VAT, luggage and parking charges at Schiphol. Outside the rush hour you'll go from your front door to the departure hall in around 140 minutes. Since the direct intercity service Enschede–Schiphol was dropped from the timetable in late 2024, the alternative is a train with a change at Amersfoort: a good 2 hours, plus the journeys to and from the stations. To be fair: travelling alone and lightly packed, the train stays cheaper. But with two or more passengers, with suitcases, or for a flight before eight in the morning, the taxi wins on convenience and often on price per person too — especially once you factor in a week's parking at Schiphol. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours in advance. Beyond Comfort the options are Premium (€290), a Van for 5–8 people (€320) and VIP (€485, S-Class).
The driver joins the A35 at Enschede-West and switches to the A1 towards Amsterdam at the Azelo interchange. From there it's one long line past Deventer, Apeldoorn and Amersfoort; near Amsterdam the route runs via the A9 or the A10-Zuid onto the A4 and the Schiphol exit. Outside the busy periods you'll cover the 175 kilometres in roughly 140 minutes. The familiar bottlenecks sit in the second half: the stretch between Apeldoorn and Amersfoort, the Hoevelaken interchange and the Amsterdam ring road. In the morning and evening rush the total driving time can therefore rise to around 185 minutes — for a peak-hour departure this is built into the planning as standard. The Twente section along the A35 is rarely the problem; the queues almost always start only beyond Apeldoorn.
Pick-up in Enschede
Drivers pick up across the whole of Enschede: from the centre and Roombeek to Wesselerbrink and Stroinkslanden in the south, Twekkelerveld and Stadsveld in the west, and the villages of Lonneker, Boekelo and Glanerbrug on the outskirts. Kennispark and the University of Twente campus also lie on the route to the A35, making them logical pick-up points for business travellers. If you live just over the German border near Glanerbrug, do mention it when booking, so the address is set correctly in the planning.

Pick-up from Schiphol
Land late in the evening at Schiphol and you'll pay the same fixed price for the return trip to Enschede — there's no night surcharge, even if you don't arrive in Twente until after midnight. Your flight is tracked live, and with 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing there's room for a slow baggage belt. The driver drops you off in any district, including Glanerbrug or Boekelo.
Frequently asked questions
What time will I be picked up in Enschede for a 07:00 flight?+
Work it back: for a 07:00 flight you want to be at Schiphol around 05:00 (a good 2 hours before departure). With about 140 minutes of driving time — at night the A1 is quiet — that means a pick-up around 02:30. There's no night surcharge, so the fixed price stays the same.
Isn't the train from Enschede more convenient than a taxi?+
Sometimes it is. Since late 2024 there's no longer a direct intercity to Schiphol; you change along the way and you're travelling for a good 2 hours, not counting the journey to the station. Alone and without much luggage, the train is cheaper. With company, suitcases or an early flight, the door-to-door taxi is usually the more practical choice.
Will I also be picked up in Glanerbrug, Boekelo or at the University of Twente?+
Yes. The fixed price applies to any pick-up address within the municipality of Enschede — including the outlying villages of Glanerbrug, Lonneker and Boekelo, and the campus or Kennispark. The fare doesn't depend on which district you live in; you simply give your exact address when booking.
Where on the Enschede–Schiphol route are the worst queues?+
Almost never in Twente itself: the A35 and the first stretch of the A1 are usually clear. The delays come further along, between Apeldoorn and Amersfoort, at the Hoevelaken interchange and on the ring road around Amsterdam. In the rush hour the trip can therefore rise to around 185 minutes; that's taken into account when planning your pick-up time.
We're flying with six people from Enschede — can that fit in one vehicle?+
Yes, that's what the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) is for: room for 5 to 8 people including luggage, for a fixed all-in price of €320. Worked out per person, you're well below the cost of separate train tickets, and you set off together from a single address rather than travelling to the station first.
