Your ride from Woudenberg

Woudenberg lies on the transition from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug to the Gelderse Vallei, with woods and estates on the west side and open meadow towards Scherpenzeel. It's a village of commuters who work in Amersfoort, Zeist or Veenendaal and often fly from Schiphol.

For that ride Schipholride charges a fixed total price: €125 in Comfort, €155 in Premium, €165 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €275 for VIP. The distance is 74 kilometres and outside rush hour the ride takes about 63 minutes.

VAT, luggage and the parking money at the airport are in the amount, and there's no night rate or public-holiday rate. You reserve at least 1 hour in advance and pay online, so the price is already fixed before the car pulls up.

From the village your driver first drives a stretch over the provincial roads: the N224 towards Maarsbergen or the N226 past Leusden, depending on where you live and what time it is. At Maarsbergen the A12 comes into view, and it brings you westbound past Driebergen and Bunnik to the Lunetten interchange.

There the traffic turns onto the A2, north past Utrecht and Maarssen, until at Holendrecht the A9 begins which via Amstelveen and Badhoevedorp comes out on the A4 and the exit to the terminal. Without peak congestion such a trip of 74 kilometres takes about 63 minutes.

The sensitive stretches are at Lunetten and on the A2 past Utrecht-Noord: if it jams there, the travel time rises to a good hour and a half, to some 92 minutes. A northern alternative runs via Amersfoort and the A1 past Baarn and Muiden, which the driver can choose in the event of heavy jams on the Utrecht ring.

Pick-up in Woudenberg

The pick-up area spans the whole village: the centre around De Schans, the new-build of Het Groene Woud, the streets along the Zeisterweg and the businesses on the edge towards Scherpenzeel. Addresses by the Geerestein estate, in Maarsbergen or just over the municipal border fall under it too.

Woudenberg has no train station; you'd first have to go by bus or car to Amersfoort, Driebergen-Zeist or Veenendaal. Precisely for that reason a car that stops in front of the door is popular here, certainly at a departure time when the first bus has yet to run.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Woudenberg

For the homeward trip you walk after the baggage belt to the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza, where your driver is ready. He follows your flight number, so with a delayed landing the pick-up moment shifts without you having to report anything.

The first sixty minutes after landing are free of cost. Then you drive back to the edge of the Heuvelrug in a good hour.

Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions

How much does a taxi Woudenberg to Schiphol cost?+

For Comfort €125 is noted, Premium comes to €155, the Van with five to eight seats to €165 and VIP to €275. That's the total price including VAT, cases and parking charges at the airport; nothing is added afterwards.

When must I leave for a flight at 09:00?+

Reckon on about 63 minutes' driving time outside rush hour plus a good two hours for check-in and security. If you leave at nine, you come out at a pick-up around a quarter to six. If the ride falls in the morning peak, your driver plans extra margin.

Are the jams around Utrecht allowed for?+

Yes, the pick-up time is set on the basis of the time and the expected congestion on the A12 and the A2. In the peak the travel time can rise to 92 minutes, and that margin is already built into the planning in advance.

Is a ride in my company's name possible?+

Certainly, give the company name and the invoicing details at reservation. Because the total price is fixed in advance, your records know straight away which amount is coming and nobody needs to settle parking or luggage receipts afterwards.

What happens if the flight is cancelled?+

Let us know at least four hours before the planned pick-up time. The ride then moves free of charge to another day or time, or you receive fifty percent of the amount paid back. With a later report that can no longer be done without cost.

Can I pay with iDEAL or credit card?+

Yes, you pay online in advance with iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The amount you see at booking is the full amount — there is nothing to pay in the car.

Where does the taxi drop me off at Schiphol?+

Your driver drops you off at the departure hall, as close to your check-in as possible. Schiphol's parking and pick-up fees are already included in your fixed price.

How early should I be at Schiphol before my flight?+

Schiphol recommends 2 hours for a European flight and 3 hours for an intercontinental one. Your driver plans the pickup time around that, with a margin for rush hour.
