From most districts you reach Nieuwegein's own A2 junction (exit 9, Nieuwegein/IJsselstein) via the Zuidstedeweg; from the north side the driver can instead take the A.C. Verhoefweg, which meets the A12 at exit 16 and joins the A2 at the Oudenrijn interchange. After that it is straight ahead: the A2 towards Amsterdam as far as the Holendrecht interchange, where you pick up the A9 towards Haarlem, and at the Badhoevedorp interchange you take the A4 onto the airport.
