Montfoort is a fortified town on the Hollandse IJssel in the Utrecht part of the Groene Hart, with an old water gate, a castle grounds and a historic centre. The distance from the Hollandse IJssel to the airport is 56 kilometres; you drive that in about three quarters of an hour outside rush hour.
For a ride from the fortress centre you pay a rate fixed in advance: €100 (Comfort), €125 (Premium), €130 (Van) and €180 (VIP), each time including VAT, luggage and parking. For a night departure by Linschoten you pay nothing extra; surcharges outside office hours we don't charge.
You book the ride by the Hollandse IJssel up to at least 1 hour in advance and settle directly online, so the amount is fixed before the car pulls up.
A. Reinaldaweg (N228) along the Hollandse IJssel towards Woerden, or eastbound to the connection with the A12 at Utrecht-West. From the A12 it goes to the Oudenrijn interchange and via the A2 northbound, or via the A12 westbound to the N207 and the Haarlemmermeer, with the Schiphol exit as endpoint.
The sensitive point is around the Oudenrijn interchange and the Utrecht ring, which in the peak are among the busiest in the country. If the A12 is jammed, the driver can divert via Woerden and the A2. The narrow N228 along the IJssel asks for some calm driving at the start.
Outside rush hour you stay around three quarters of an hour with those 56 kilometres; in the morning peak towards Utrecht it can rise towards an hour.
Pick-up in Montfoort
Pick-up is possible throughout Montfoort and the core of Linschoten: in the historic centre within the fortress, on the new-build at the edge of the town, and on the ribbons towards Blokland and Achthoven. Addresses on the business estate fall within the area too.

Is public transport from the fortress centre possible too?+
Montfoort has no station; by public transport you first take the bus to Woerden and change there. With luggage one ride from Linschoten to the departure hall is faster.
