Your ride from Woerden

Sitting at the heart of the Groene Hart, Woerden has no direct train to Schiphol, so a taxi is often the simplest way to reach the airport. Schipholride arranges the trip for a fixed all-in price from €85 (Comfort), covering the 38-kilometre run in around 50 minutes outside the rush hour, door to door; in peak traffic allow closer to 70 minutes.

The fare includes VAT, your luggage and the driver's parking at Schiphol, and there is no night surcharge whatever the hour. The train means at least one change and roughly three quarters of an hour, plus the walk to the station.

Travelling alone with hand luggage at a quiet time, the train is cheaper; but with suitcases, an early flight, children or a group, the taxi usually wins on comfort and often on total cost. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.

You can also pick Premium (€105), a Van for 5–8 people (€110) or VIP (€195, S-Class).

From this old cheese-market town the driver normally avoids the motorway altogether and takes the polder route instead. It runs out on the N405 towards Kamerik, picks up the N212 past Wilnis to Mijdrecht, and then follows the N201 through Uithoorn and Aalsmeer to join the A4 just short of the airport.

At 38 kilometres this is the shortest line, and outside the rush hour you cover it in about 50 minutes. During the morning and evening peaks the same trip can stretch to around 70 minutes, with the N201 around Uithoorn and Aalsmeer the best-known choke point.

When it is solidly jammed there, a longer alternative runs northwards via the A12 and the A2 — more kilometres on paper, but sometimes quicker on the clock. The driver checks the live traffic picture before setting off and chooses whatever works best at that moment.

Pick-up in Woerden

You can give a collection address anywhere in the municipality, from the Binnenstad and Molenvliet to the newer Snel en Polanen estate, the Schilderskwartier and the Staatsliedenkwartier. The outlying villages of Harmelen, Kamerik and Zegveld fall within the service area too — bear in mind that starting from Harmelen or Zegveld can shave a few minutes off the total driving time.

Pick-up at Woerden station, or at a firm on the Middelland, Barwoutswaarder, Honthorst or Polanen business parks, works exactly the same way. In the narrow lanes of the old centre the driver finds a sensible spot as close to your door as possible; a recognisable landmark in your booking always helps.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Woerden

On the return leg to Woerden your flight is tracked live, so even when it lands late the driver is there waiting, with 60 minutes of free waiting time after touchdown. If you arrive during the evening peak, expect the longer run via the N201, and the driver may switch to the A4 and A2 to keep things moving.

Whatever the hour, the same fixed fare applies — there is no night surcharge, even after midnight.

Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions

What time will the taxi collect me in Woerden for an 08:00 flight?+

Outside the rush hour the journey takes around 50 minutes, and you should add a good two hours for check-in and security on top of that. For an 08:00 departure, that means a pick-up at roughly 05:00. At that early hour the N212 and N201 are still quiet, so the driving time is reliably predictable and there is no surcharge for the early start.

Wouldn't the train from Woerden be a more sensible choice than a taxi?+

It depends on your trip. There is no direct train from Woerden to Schiphol; with a change you are roughly 40 to 50 minutes en route, not counting the journey to the station. With hand luggage only the train is cheaper. But with suitcases, a group, or an early or late flight, a door-to-door taxi is usually more practical and often keener priced per person.

Can I also be collected in Harmelen, Kamerik or Zegveld?+

Yes, every village in the municipality of Woerden lies within the pick-up area. From Harmelen the driver joins the route a little further south, while from Kamerik and Zegveld you are already heading towards the N212. The fixed fare does not change because of this — you simply book on your own address and travel from your door.

What traffic should I expect between Woerden and Schiphol?+

The main risk sits on the N201 around Uithoorn and Aalsmeer, which clogs up during the morning and evening peaks. The journey then grows to around 70 minutes, where it is normally about 50. The driver checks the live traffic before setting off and, if needed, diverts northwards via the A12 and the A2 to find a quicker line.

Can I book a business trip to Schiphol from the Middelland business park?+

Certainly. Being collected on Middelland, Barwoutswaarder, Honthorst or Polanen works just like a home address: you enter the company address and choose a class. For business travellers Premium (Mercedes E-Class or similar, €105) is popular, while colleagues up to eight fit the Van (€110). You receive an invoice with the VAT specified for your records.

Can I bring a wheelchair or walker?+

Yes — your wheelchair or walker travels free of charge. If it's too big for the boot, mention it when booking so a suitable vehicle can be scheduled. On request we can also arrange a wheelchair-accessible taxi.

Do you also drive on public holidays and New Year's Eve?+

Yes — 24/7, all year round, including New Year's Eve, with no surcharge.

What if I miss my flight or my flight gets cancelled?+

Let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled pickup on 085 060 2543. We then move your ride to a new time free of charge, or you cancel with a 50% refund. If you tell us later than 4 hours ahead, or we can't reach you, the ride counts as a no-show without a refund.
