Your ride from De Bilt
De Bilt is known to most people in the Netherlands from the KNMI, which has forecast the weather from the Utrechtseweg for generations. The village has grown fast onto the edge of Utrecht, with the Biltse Rading as its border and the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug on the other side.
To the airport it's 53 kilometres and about 50 minutes' drive at a quiet moment. What you pay is fixed in advance: €95 for Comfort, €120 for Premium, €125 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €210 for VIP, including VAT, luggage and the parking at Schiphol.
Surcharges for night-time hours or public holidays don't exist. Book at the latest 1 hour ahead and settle online straight away.
From the Utrechtseweg or the Hessenweg the A28 is reached in a few minutes, after which at the Rijnsweerd interchange it switches straight onto the A27 heading north. That road runs past Hilversum and Eemnes, where at the interchange the A1 is picked up towards Muiderberg and Diemen; then the A9 leads through the Gaasperdammertunnel to Badhoevedorp and the A4 closes the route.
Without hold-up that's 53 kilometres in about 50 minutes. If the A27 towards Het Gooi is full, the southern variant comes into view: around Utrecht over the A12 and from Oudenrijn with the A2 to Holendrecht. In the morning peak both roads cost more time — reckon then on some 72 minutes, with most delay around Hilversum and between Muiden and Diemen.
Which route it becomes, the driver decides just before departure based on the live congestion.
Pick-up in De Bilt
The pick-up area covers De Bilt and the surrounding cores of the municipality: Brandenburg and Weltevreden, the quarters around the Hessenweg, and further Groenekan, Maartensdijk, Hollandsche Rading and Westbroek.
The KNMI grounds, the Larenstein business estate and the Utrecht Science Park just over the municipal border count as a pick-up spot too. The nearest halt is Bilthoven station, a few kilometres away, but from there no direct train runs to the airport.
From your own front door to the departure hall that spares, with luggage, at least a change and a lot of arranging.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to De Bilt
When you land back in the Netherlands, you meet the driver at the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza. He keeps track of the flight status and only leaves once the aircraft is really there; the 60 minutes after landing count as free waiting time.
The ride back takes about 50 minutes with clear roads.

Top chauffeur, uitstekende rit!
Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
What amount applies for De Bilt to Schiphol?+
You pay €95 in Comfort, €120 in Premium, €125 for the Van with five to eight seats and €210 in VIP. That's a total amount: VAT, cases and the parking charges at the airport are already in it.
Isn't the train from Bilthoven faster?+
From Bilthoven no direct train runs to the airport; you change in Utrecht Centraal or Amersfoort. With luggage, children or a flight around sunrise that brings more hassle than one ride from the front door to the departure hall.
What time to leave for a flight at 08:30?+
That time falls exactly in the morning peak, so well more than the usual 50 minutes is reckoned with. Together with two hours' check-in the pick-up time usually comes out around a quarter past five, so margin remains.
Can I pay with the driver?+
No, the ride is settled online at the moment you book. As a result the amount is fixed before any driving is done and nothing needs arranging in the car, not even with a delay along the way.
May I pick someone up in Zeist on the way?+
An intermediate stop can be done, but there's an extra cost to it because the detour and waiting take time. Give the address at booking, so it's built straight into the planning and the amount agreed in advance.
Can I bring a wheelchair or walker?+
Yes — your wheelchair or walker travels free of charge. If it's too big for the boot, mention it when booking so a suitable vehicle can be scheduled. On request we can also arrange a wheelchair-accessible taxi.
Do you also drive on public holidays and New Year's Eve?+
Yes — 24/7, all year round, including New Year's Eve, with no surcharge.
What if I miss my flight or my flight gets cancelled?+
Let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled pickup on 085 060 2543. We then move your ride to a new time free of charge, or you cancel with a 50% refund. If you tell us later than 4 hours ahead, or we can't reach you, the ride counts as a no-show without a refund.
