The best-known delay point is the stretch of A9 between Uitgeest and the Wijkertunnel during the morning peak (towards Amsterdam, roughly 07:00-09:00); things can also back up around the Rottepolderplein. If the A9 is blocked by an incident or planned maintenance, your driver diverts via the N203 through Krommenie and the A8 past Zaandam — a few minutes longer, but reliable.
