Huizen is one of the largest towns in the Netherlands without its own railway station, so the public-transport alternative always means a bus to Hilversum or Naarden-Bussum plus a change onto the train. A door-to-door car is the obvious choice here.

Your driver joins the A27 at the Huizen junction and heads south to the Eemnes interchange, where the route picks up the A1 towards Amsterdam. At the Diemen interchange it switches onto the A9, which runs through the Gaasperdammertunnel and past the Holendrecht interchange as far as Badhoevedorp; from there it is only a few minutes to the terminal.
Outside the rush hour the full 47-kilometre stretch takes around 45 minutes. The weak spots sit on the A1 between Eemnes and Diemen during the morning peak heading into Amsterdam (roughly 7:00-9:30) and on the A9 around Amstelveen; at those times the journey can stretch to around 65 minutes.

What time should I be collected in Huizen for an early-morning flight?
Allow the driving time plus a good two hours for check-in and security. For an 08:00 flight a pick-up around 05:00 in Huizen is a safe choice; any earlier and the roads are practically empty.
Huizen has no railway station. Is a car really faster than public transport?

By public transport you first take a bus to Hilversum or Naarden-Bussum and change there onto the train to Schiphol, so door to door you are quickly looking at an hour and a half or more. The car does the trip in around 45 minutes outside the rush hour, with no changes and no lugging suitcases across platforms.
Which motorways does the route use and where does the traffic build up?
The route runs via the A27 to the Eemnes interchange, then the A1 towards Amsterdam, and at Diemen the A9 through the Gaasperdammertunnel to Badhoevedorp.
