Your ride from Tiel
Tiel (capital of the Betuwe, famous for its fruit) lies a good 90 kilometres from Schiphol, which makes this one of the longer runs in the region. The Comfort rate stands fixed at €140, and outside the rush hours the 92 kilometres pass in about 78 minutes.
Public transport is possible but slow: from Tiel station you ride to Geldermalsen and change there towards Utrecht and Schiphol; with the legs either side you are quickly two hours underway. Over such a distance a fare known in advance brings real calm: VAT, luggage and the parking charges at the airport are already in, so no surprises afterwards.
Departing early, travelling with several people or simply refusing to haul cases across platforms, the direct car at your door is almost always the more logical choice than the train.
Out of Tiel the route mostly runs via the N834 or the Grotebrugse Grintweg to the A15 heading west. You follow the A15 along Geldermalsen until the Deil junction offers the A2 towards Utrecht. Over the Lek bridge at Vianen and along the Utrecht ring, the road connects via the Holendrecht junction to the A9, after which Badhoevedorp brings the A4 and the Schiphol exit.
In the morning rush the Deil junction, the Lek bridge and the Utrecht ring are the known choke points; the driving time then heads towards the 101 minutes at the top of the band. Your driver knows this A15-A2 corridor and follows the live picture to steer around building queues where possible.
The pick-up time is matched to the rush window around your departure, so you stand at the check-in desk in good time.
Pick-up in Tiel
Collection covers every district of Tiel, from the centre around the Waterpoort and the Groenmarkt to Passewaaij, Drumpt and Tiel-West, plus the villages of Wadenoijen and Kapel-Avezaath within the municipality.
Living in Passewaaij on the south side, near the A15 ramps, your driving time sits at the favourable end of the band. Business pick-ups on the Latenstein or Kellen estates by the Waal are no problem; mention the right entrance or the company in the remarks of your booking.
Areas served: Tiel-Centrum · Passewaaij · Drumpt · Tiel-West · Wadenoijen · Kapel-Avezaath; stations: Tiel, Tiel Passewaaij
Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Tiel
For the return to Tiel, the last stretch over the A2 towards the Deil junction and the A15 can be slower in the evening rush than the standard 78 minutes. Your flight is followed live, and with 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing, a slow luggage belt or customs queue is no cause for stress.

Top chauffeur, uitstekende rit!
Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
What amount do I pay from Tiel to the airport?+
The most economical option, Comfort with a VW Passat or equivalent car, costs €140. The other classes run €175 (Premium, Mercedes E-Class), €180 (Van, 5 to 8 people) and €310 (VIP). Tax, luggage and the airport parking are always in, so the booked amount is complete.
Is the train from Tiel worth considering?+
Tiel has two stations, but towards Schiphol you travel via Geldermalsen and Utrecht with at least one change; counting the legs either side you are soon two hours underway. Alone and lightly packed that can be economical. With luggage, children or an early flight, the direct taxi from €140 is generally more comfortable and not much dearer.
Can I travel from Tiel to Schiphol with a large group?+
Yes. In the Van (Mercedes V-Class or comparable) 5 to 8 people travel with their luggage for a fixed €180. Spread across seven people that is around €29 each, often cheaper and easier than separate train tickets with changes for everyone.
How do I work out my pick-up time in Tiel?+
Take your departure time, subtract at least two hours for check-in and luggage, plus about 78 minutes of driving outside the rush. For a 09:00 departure that gives a pick-up around 05:30. Leaving in the peak, add another half hour for the pressure around Utrecht.
Can we make a stop along the way?+
A short stop is possible, for instance to collect a fellow traveller in Geldermalsen or along the A2. Pass on the address in the booking remarks, and the route and pick-up time are adjusted so you still reach Schiphol with ample margin.
Do I get an invoice with VAT for my ride?+
Yes. Book in your company's name and you receive an invoice with a VAT specification, useful for your records or expense claim.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+
For a longer trip it often is: you pay one fixed fare instead of parking fees per day, and you don't have to haul your cases from P3 to the terminal. Compare your own route with the price calculator.
How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise, especially in holiday periods.
