Oosterbeek lies on the southern flank of the Veluwezoom in the Renkum municipality, between the Rhine and the woods, and is known to many from the Airborne history. A ride to the airport here has one fixed total amount: Comfort €165, Premium €205, the Van with five to eight seats €215 and VIP €355.

Your route and departure time
From the Utrechtseweg or the Benedendorp you first drive a few kilometres over the N225 towards Wolfheze and Renkum, where the slip road to the A50 lies. At the Grijsoord interchange the ride turns westbound onto the A12, past Ede, Veenendaal and Maarsbergen, until the Utrecht building comes into view.
Via the Oudenrijn interchange it continues over the A2 towards Breukelen and Vinkeveen; at Holendrecht the A9 follows and then the A4 to the airport exit. Those 106 kilometres cost about 89 minutes without congestion.
Two stretches decide whether that succeeds: the A12 between Maarsbergen and Driebergen, which clogs in the morning, and the ring around Utrecht at Oudenrijn and Lunetten. In the peak the travel time rises towards 115 minutes.

Pickup in and around Oosterbeek
Pick-up is possible anywhere in the village: from the higher-lying streets around Hartenstein and De Dennenkamp to the Benedendorp by the Oude Kerk and the building towards Doorwerth. Wolfheze and Heveadorp lie a few minutes' drive away too and belong to the same service area.

How early do I have to leave?
Allow 89 minutes' driving outside rush hour and on top of that the two hours the airport advises for check-in and security. For an aircraft departing at seven in the morning you come out at a pick-up around a quarter past three. The rate stays unchanged at that hour.
Is the train from the station an alternative?
Trains run towards Utrecht, where you change onto the connection to the airport. Without cases that's fine; with luggage, young children or a departure at the crack of dawn a direct ride from front door to departure hall usually weighs heavier.
Can someone board along the way?
An intermediate stop in for example Arnhem or Ede is possible, but costs extra because the ride gets longer by it. Give the address at booking, so the extra amount is in the confirmation straight away and you know exactly what the ride costs beforehand.
