Your ride from Oudewater
The fortified town of Oudewater lies on the Hollandse IJssel, exactly on the border of the Groene Hart and the province of Utrecht, and owes its fame to the Heksenwaag witch-weighing house and the old rope-walks.
For an airport ride the amount is fixed in advance: €90 in Comfort, €115 in Premium, €120 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €200 in VIP. The distance is 50 kilometres; driving calmly you're there in about 52 minutes.
VAT, cases and the parking charges at Schiphol belong to that amount and no surcharge applies for nights, weekends or public holidays. You book at least one hour ahead with direct online payment, so nothing more needs arranging along the way.
From the town the ride goes over the N228 along the IJssel to Woerden, and from there north onto the N212 towards Wilnis. At Mijdrecht the N201 comes into view, which runs straight through De Ronde Venen past Uithoorn to Aalsmeer and the airport; via the Fokkerweg or the A4 you drive the last kilometres to the departure hall.
That keeps the route at 50 kilometres, about 52 minutes outside rush hour. A large part goes over provincial roads, so jams are rare here; it can back up at the roundabouts around Mijdrecht and on the N201 at Uithoorn, where traffic towards the Bloemenveiling flower auction converges.
In the morning peak 76 minutes is more realistic. In the event of a closure on the N201 your driver detours over the A12 and the A2 past Utrecht, which is a bit longer but usually keeps moving.
Pick-up in Oudewater
You're picked up in the historic centre around the Markt, the Wijdstraat and the Havenstraat, where the car often stops just around the corner because of the narrow streets, and in the newer quarters on the edge of the fortress.
The cores of Snelrewaard, Hekendorp, Papekop and Hoenkoop and the farms along the IJsseldijk lie within the pick-up area too. The town has no NS station of its own; train travellers first have to go to Woerden or Gouda.
With luggage that intermediate step is just the awkward part, and precisely that falls away when the car is at the door.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Oudewater
On arrival the same fixed amount applies for the return and the driver follows the flight, even when it lands earlier or later than planned. You have an hour of free waiting time from the moment of landing, and the departure point is the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza.
Over the N201 you're then back on the IJssel in a good fifty minutes.

What do I pay for Oudewater to Schiphol?+
The fixed total price is €90 for Comfort, €115 for Premium, €120 for the Van with five to eight people and €200 for VIP. In it VAT, all luggage and the parking at the airport are processed.
What time do I leave for a morning flight?+
Add the two hours advised for check-in and security to the 52 minutes' driving time. For a departure at half past seven that means a pick-up around a quarter past four — and that early ride costs exactly the same as a ride during the day.
May I pick someone up along the way?+
That's possible, for example in Woerden or Montfoort, but an intermediate stop lengthens the ride and therefore costs extra. Give the second address at reservation; the full amount is then in your confirmation in advance rather than on the bill afterwards.
Can I ride on business and receive an invoice?+
Entrepreneurs from the Groene Hart book here regularly. Enter the company name and invoicing details at reservation, and you receive an invoice with a VAT breakdown. Because the amount is fixed in advance, the travel-cost item is clear straight away for the records.
What happens with a delay?+
The flight status is tracked, so if the aircraft comes in later the pick-up moment shifts along automatically. You needn't call or email from the airport; the driver is ready the moment you actually clear customs.
How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise — especially in holiday periods.
Can my dog or pet come along?+

Can I bring a wheelchair or walker?+
