Your ride from De Meern
Beneath the new-build of De Meern lies a Roman past: at Castellum Hoge Woerd a fort stood on the limes and a complete Roman cargo ship was excavated. Around the Meerndijk and the Zandweg it still feels village-like, while quarters like Veldhuizen and De Balije belong entirely to the city of Utrecht.
To Schiphol you drive 52 kilometres, about 46 minutes outside rush hour. What the ride costs you know in advance: €90 in Comfort, €115 in Premium, €120 for the Van (5-8 people) and €205 for VIP. VAT, luggage and the parking charges at the airport are in that rate, and surcharges for night, weekend or public holiday don't exist.

The ride begins on the Meerndijk or the Zandweg, towards the De Meern junction on the A12. Your driver follows the A12 eastbound to the Oudenrijn interchange and turns onto the A2 there towards Amsterdam. Through the Leidsche Rijn tunnel it goes past Maarssen, Breukelen and Vinkeveen to the Holendrecht interchange, after which the A9 via Amstelveen and the Badhoevedorp interchange comes out on the A4 with the Schiphol exit.
Fifty-two kilometres together and about 46 minutes outside rush hour. The Oudenrijn interchange is the first bottleneck: in the morning peak traffic there and on the A2 past Utrecht bunches thickly, and later on the route the congestion at Amstelveen is added.
Reckon then on a journey towards 67 minutes. For a morning flight departure is therefore earlier than the bare driving time suggests.
Pick-up in De Meern
Pick-up is possible throughout the core: in Veldhuizen and De Balije on the west side, in De Woerd and Rijnvliet, and in the old building along the Meerndijk and the Leidsche Rijn canal. Business addresses by Oudenrijn and Strijkviertel belong to it too.
De Meern has no NS station of its own; Utrecht Leidsche Rijn station is a few kilometres away and requires another change towards Schiphol. Departing from the front door thus spares both hauling luggage and waiting on the platform.

What time am I picked up for an 08:00 flight?+
Wanting to be checked in two hours before departure plus about 46 minutes' driving time brings you to a pick-up around 05:00. If the ride falls in the morning peak, it's planned a bit more generously because of the Oudenrijn interchange.
We're going on a ski trip with eight people, can that be one ride?+
Yes, the Van seats five to eight people including cases and costs €120 from De Meern as a fixed total price. State at booking how much luggage and any ski equipment comes along.
Can there be a child seat in the car?+
A child seat is available on request. Mention at booking the number of children and their ages, and the right seat is ready in the assigned car at departure.
What happens if my flight returns delayed?+
The driver follows your flight number and only leaves once the aircraft has actually landed. After landing you have 60 minutes of free waiting time, so you needn't worry about anything at the baggage belt.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+

How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise — especially in holiday periods.
