The ride begins on the Dorpsstraat or the Postweg and goes via the N224 to the A30 at the Lunteren exit. That motorway runs north past Barneveld to the junction with the A1. There you turn west and follow the A1 past Amersfoort, Baarn and Eemnes, over the Gooimeer and past Muiderberg until the A9 begins at Diemen.
Via the tunnel below Amsterdam-Zuidoost and the Badhoevedorp interchange you reach the A4, with the exit for the airport just after. Of those 83 kilometres the greater part is on the motorway, so the ride takes about 71 minutes outside rush hour.
In the morning peak the Barneveld–Hoevelaken–Amersfoort stretch is the bottleneck, together with the A1 towards Amsterdam; the journey then rises towards 92 minutes. On a long ride like this the pick-up time is deliberately chosen generously.

You're picked up in the village itself and in the surrounding countryside: around the centre and the Dorpsstraat, in the newer quarters on the west and south sides, and in the hamlets of Meulunteren, De Valk, Nederwoud, Overwoud and Walderveen.
A holiday park or group accommodation on the edge of the Veluwe, near De Werelt conference centre, is a normal pick-up address too. Lunteren station lies on the Valleilijn towards Ede-Wageningen and Amersfoort; by train to Schiphol you change at least once and are long on the way with luggage.

On this long ride fixed amounts apply: €135 for Comfort, €170 for Premium, €175 for the Van seating five to eight and €300 for VIP. These amounts are fixed at booking and include VAT, luggage and parking charges; even for a night departure nothing changes.
Isn't the train via Amersfoort a cheaper alternative?+
Cheaper it is, but from Lunteren station you change at least once and are a good ninety minutes on the way with cases. A direct 71-minute ride from your own address spares changing, waiting and hauling, especially early in the morning.
What time is pick-up for a 09:00 flight?+
Reckon about 71 minutes' driving time plus a good two hours for check-in and security; that comes out at a pick-up around 05:30. If the ride falls in the morning peak, departure is earlier because the journey can rise towards 92 minutes.
We depart with eight people from a holiday park — is that possible?+
Yes, the Van seats five to eight people including luggage and costs €175 from Lunteren as a fixed total price. Give the park address and the exact number of the accommodation and the driver pulls up right at the door.
