Scherpenzeel lies in the Gelderse Vallei on the border with Utrecht, a compact municipality around an old castle and the Holevoet, between Amersfoort, Veenendaal and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. From the Gelderse Vallei to Schiphol you cover 78 kilometres, which outside rush hour takes a little over an hour.
The ride from Kasteel Scherpenzeel costs a fixed amount without surprises: €130 in Comfort, €165 in Premium, €170 for the Van and €235 in VIP, VAT and parking in it. There are no night or public-holiday surcharges, so an early morning ride from the Holevoet costs the same as one at midday.

From Scherpenzeel your driver rides over the N224 towards Woudenberg or via the N226 to the A12 at Maarn and Veenendaal. At Maarn or Veenendaal the route takes the A12 towards Utrecht, after which via the Utrecht ring and the A2/A9, or via the A28 at Amersfoort, the Haarlemmermeer and the A4 with the Schiphol exit are reached.
The ride is about 80 kilometres; the sensitive point is on the A12 at Veenendaal and the Utrecht ring, or on the A28 around Amersfoort. The N-roads through the Gelderse Vallei, by contrast, run quietly. Outside rush hour, allow a good hour.
