Your ride from Katwoude
Katwoude is an agricultural hamlet on the Gouwzee, wedged between Monnickendam and Volendam in the Waterland municipality. Fewer than three hundred people live here, scattered over stolp farmhouses along the Hoogedijk and the Lagedijk with the open polder behind them.
From such a dyke address to the airport the price is fixed in advance: €70 in Comfort, €90 in Premium, €95 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €160 for VIP. The ride measures 38 kilometres and takes about 40 minutes outside rush hour.
VAT, cases and the parking charges at Schiphol are in that amount, and a night or public-holiday surcharge doesn't exist. You settle directly online at booking, at least 1 hour before the pick-up time. On the way back your driver tracks the flight and you have 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing.
From the Hoogedijk or the Lagedijk you're on the N247 within a few minutes, the through road between Amsterdam and Hoorn. Your driver heads south past the edge of Monnickendam and through Broek in Waterland, until the A10 ring begins at the Het Schouw junction.
Then follow the Coentunnel, the A10-West and the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, after which the A4 delivers you to the Schiphol exit. Outside rush hour you're busy with those 38 kilometres for about 40 minutes. The sensitive stretch is close to home: the N247 here has one lane each way and fills in the morning with commuters from Volendam and Edam, so the journey can rise towards 57 minutes.
On top of that the province is rebuilding the road between Monnickendam and Edam-Volendam with a dedicated bus lane and adjusted junctions. If a diversion applies, your driver goes via Edam and the N244 to the A7.
Pick-up in Katwoude
Pick-up is possible on both dykes and in the countryside: Hoogedijk, Lagedijk, the yards towards De Koog and the addresses along the Wagenweg, where the hotel and the cheese farm stand. For guests with an early flight that's an ordinary pick-up point.
Katwoude has no station and the regional bus over the N247 is awkward with cases, so door-to-door spares the most here. Put your house number and, if needed, the name of the farm in the booking, so the driver drives onto the yard rather than waiting along the dyke.
Areas served: Hoogedijk · Lagedijk · De Koog · Polder Katwoude
Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Katwoude
For the return trip the meeting point in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza is the starting point. Your driver sees the flight status and matches his arrival to the actual landing time; the first 60 minutes after landing are free waiting time.
Then you're back on the Gouwzee in about 40 minutes. If your flight is scrapped, give that at least 4 hours ahead: rebooking to another day costs nothing, otherwise you get half the amount back.

Vriendelijke gast, rijdt fantastisch.
Excellent service for our trip from Schipol airport to Spijkenisse. Communication from the driver was excellent and we managed to arrange a earlier pick up based on his knowledge of how long the immigration queue would be. Very friendly, helpful and would highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
How much does a taxi Katwoude to Schiphol cost?+
Comfort costs €70, Premium €90, the Van seating five to eight €95 and VIP €160. That's each time the total amount: VAT, luggage and the parking charges at Schiphol are processed in it and topping up is never needed.
Can a party from one farmhouse travel together in one car?+
Yes, the Van seats five to eight people including cases and costs €95 from Katwoude. With a large group you simply book two cars; the fixed price then applies per vehicle.
What time do I leave for a flight at eight in the morning?+
Add the roughly 40 minutes' driving time to a good two hours for check-in and security, and reckon with peak congestion on the N247. Leaving around a quarter past five is then realistic, at the same rate as during the day.
What if my flight is cancelled?+
Report it at least 4 hours before the pick-up time, and you rebook the ride free of charge to a new date or receive 50 percent of the amount paid back. Making a new booking is then quickly done.
Can I book on business and get an invoice?+
You can: enter your company details at booking, and you receive an invoice with VAT for your records. Handy for agricultural businesses and hospitality venues in Katwoude that bring guests or staff to the airport.
What if I miss my flight or my flight gets cancelled?+
Let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled pickup on 085 060 2543. We then move your ride to a new time free of charge, or you cancel with a 50% refund. If you tell us later than 4 hours ahead, or we can't reach you, the ride counts as a no-show without a refund.
Can I get a child seat for the ride to Schiphol?+
Yes. When booking, mention that you need a child seat or booster and for which age — your driver will have the right seat ready.
Can I pay with iDEAL or credit card?+
Yes, you pay online in advance with iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The amount you see at booking is the full amount — there is nothing to pay in the car.
