Your ride from Helmond

From Helmond you first take the A270 towards Eindhoven and then follow the A2 north for almost the whole journey: 132 kilometres, and outside the rush hour you are standing in front of the departure hall after about 115 minutes. Schipholride arranges that trip for a fixed all-in price from €200 (Comfort), with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included — and the same price at night, because there is no night surcharge. Leaving during the morning or evening rush, the journey can stretch to around 150 minutes, and the driver allows for that when setting the pick-up time. You are collected at your front door in any district, from Brandevoort to Dierdonk. On the way back your flight is tracked live and you get 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Besides Comfort you can choose Premium (€240), a Van for 5–8 people (€260) or VIP (€400, S-Class).

The logical route begins on the N205/A270, the commuter axis between Helmond and Eindhoven that turns into motorway near Brandevoort and joins the Eindhoven ring road at the Insulindeplein. From the ring the driver picks up the A2 towards 's-Hertogenbosch and then follows that motorway for roughly a hundred kilometres past Den Bosch and Utrecht. At the Holendrecht interchange the driver switches to the A9 towards Amstelveen, then takes the A4 to reach the Schiphol exit. The vulnerable stretches sit at the start and the finish: the A270 and the Eindhoven ring grind to a halt on weekdays between 7:00 and 9:00, while the A2 around Utrecht and the A9 near Amstelveen do the same in those windows and again between 16:00 and 18:30. Outside those hours this run is remarkably predictable; in the rush hour the driver allows for up to about 150 minutes and times the departure accordingly.

Pick-up in Helmond

Helmond has four railway stations — Helmond, Helmond 't Hout, Helmond Brouwhuis and Helmond Brandevoort — and a driver can collect you at any of them if that is handier than home. Most trips simply start at the front door: in Brandevoort, Stiphout, Mierlo-Hout, Brouwhuis, Rijpelberg, Dierdonk or the Centrum, it makes no difference to the fixed price. Business travellers are regularly collected at the Automotive Campus or on the Hoogeind and BZOB business parks; give the company address when you book and the driver reports there.

Pick-up from Schiphol

If you land between 15:30 and 18:30, bear in mind that the return run to Helmond via the A9 and the A2 around Utrecht takes longer in the evening rush than the roughly 115 minutes you would expect outside it. The driver drops you at your own address, including outlying districts such as Stiphout and Dierdonk — so there is no need to go to Helmond station first.

Frequently asked questions

What time will I be collected in Helmond for an 08:00 flight?+

Work backwards: for an 08:00 departure you want to be at Schiphol around 06:00 to allow a good two hours for check-in and security. With about 115 minutes of driving time from Helmond plus a small buffer, that means a pick-up time around 03:45 to 04:00. You pay no night surcharge — the fixed price stays exactly the same.

Helmond has a direct intercity to Schiphol, so when does the taxi make more sense?+

That is true; from Helmond station a direct intercity runs to the airport in roughly one hour and forty minutes. The taxi wins on door-to-door convenience: no hauling suitcases, no first-train problem before an early flight, and with a group of up to eight people you share the fixed Van price of €260, which per person often lands close to a train ticket.

Am I collected at home in Brandevoort, Stiphout or Brouwhuis too?+

Yes, the pick-up service covers the whole of Helmond: from Brandevoort and Mierlo-Hout in the west to Brouwhuis, Rijpelberg and Dierdonk on the eastern side. You give the exact address when you book and it has no effect on the fixed price. A driver is waiting at your door at the agreed time, ready to load the luggage.

How much extra travel time does the rush hour add on this route?+

Outside the rush hour you cover the 132 kilometres in around 115 minutes; in the morning or evening peak this can rise to about 150 minutes. The delays build mainly on the A270 and the Eindhoven ring road, on the A2 around Utrecht and on the A9 near Amstelveen. For a rush-hour departure your pick-up time is planned with more margin.

Can I book a business trip from the Automotive Campus or BZOB?+

Certainly. Drivers collect travellers daily from company addresses on the Automotive Campus, Hoogeind, De Weijer and BZOB. For business trips most travellers choose Premium (Mercedes E-Class or similar) at €240 fixed; for a delegation of up to eight people there is the Van (V-Class or similar) at €260, with VAT, luggage and Schiphol parking included.
