Commuters prize Abcoude for good reason: the village lies on the little river Gein in the Utrecht corner of the Groene Hart, just below Amsterdam-Zuidoost on the Noord-Holland border, and Schiphol is only 24 kilometres away, around 25 minutes off-peak.
Because the train to the airport involves a change, a door-to-door taxi is often the calmest option, certainly before dawn. Schipholride sets the price when you book: €45 in Comfort (VW Passat or similar), €55 in Premium (Mercedes E-Class or similar), €60 for the Van seating up to eight (V-Class or similar) and €105 in VIP (S-Class or similar), each with VAT, suitcases and the Schiphol parking included and no supplement at night.
On the way home the driver follows your flight and moves the pick-up to your actual landing time, so nobody stands waiting.
From Abcoude the route leads over the A2 and the Amsterdam ring. The driver heads for the A2 towards Amsterdam, transfers to the A9 or the A10-south and joins the A4 at the De Nieuwe Meer interchange for the Schiphol exit.
Outside the peaks those 24 kilometres take roughly 25 minutes. A stretch of the journey uses the southern ring, which makes the Zuidas the sensitive spot: mornings and evenings it can jam solidly, pushing the trip towards forty minutes.
When it is truly stuck, the driver swings onto the A9 past Amstelveen and Badhoevedorp, which bypasses the Zuidas and is sometimes quicker. That rush-hour window is already woven into your pick-up time, so a queue never threatens your check-in.
Pick-up in Abcoude
All of Abcoude counts as pick-up territory, from the historic core around the Dorpsstraat and the distinctive bridges over the Gein to the newer residential streets, and neighbouring Baambrugge along the Angstel is covered as well.
In the narrow lanes of the old centre the driver stops as close to your address as possible or just around the corner; give the exact address at booking. Abcoude station sits on the line towards Amsterdam and Schiphol, but the connection involves a change, so with suitcases or an early flight a door-to-door taxi is usually more comfortable.

Off-peak about 25 minutes. If the A10-south near the Zuidas fills in the morning or evening it can head towards forty minutes, and the driver takes the A9 past Amstelveen where needed to keep things moving.
Can I arrange the outward and return trips in one booking?+
