Your route and departure time
From Loenen aan de Vecht your driver rides along the Vecht to the N402 or via Vreeland and Nigtevecht towards the A2. At Vinkeveen or Abcoude it goes onto the A2 to the north, and via the Holendrecht interchange and the A9 past Amstelveen to the Badhoevedorp interchange, where the A4 gives the Schiphol exit.
An alternative runs via Breukelen and the A2 if the route along the Vecht is busy. The sensitive points are at the start: the narrow dyke roads along the Vecht with their bends and little bridges, and the connection to the A2 that can fill in the peak.
Once on the motorway it goes smoothly. Outside rush hour you stay well within the half hour with those 30 kilometres; towards Amsterdam the morning peak can push it towards three quarters of an hour.
