The village borders the Velperbroek interchange, where the A12, the A348 and the N325 meet — a more convenient starting point is hardly conceivable. From the Hoofdstraat or the Rozendaalselaan you're on the A12 westbound in a few minutes, past the northern edge of Arnhem and the Waterberg interchange.
Then it goes over Ede, Veenendaal and Maarsbergen to Utrecht, where at Oudenrijn the A2 is taken; via Vinkeveen, Holendrecht and the A9 you come out on the A4 at the airport exit. Adding up gives 115 kilometres, for which you allow about 94 minutes without peak congestion.
Delay-sensitive are the A12 around Grijsoord and Maarsbergen and the stretch past Utrecht; the morning peak soon makes it 122 minutes. An alternative runs via the A50 at Arnhem-Noord to Apeldoorn and further over the A1, handy with works on the A12.
Pick-up in Velp
The driver picks you up in Velp-Zuid by the floodplains of the IJssel, in Velp-Noord against the woods, and in quarters like Daalhuizen, Ommershof and Beekhuizen with their villas and avenues. Addresses in neighbouring Rozendaal and on the Arnhem side of the municipal border belong to the area too.
The station on the Arnhem–Zutphen line lies in the village, but to the airport that means first to Arnhem Centraal and changing there onto the intercity. Whoever leaves early or travels with luggage therefore usually chooses to board at their own front door.

This is Velp in the Rheden municipality in Gelderland, between Arnhem and Rheden on the Veluwezoom. The Brabant Velp of the same name near Grave, nowadays the Land van Cuijk municipality, falls under a different price because the distance to the airport there is different.

How early does the ride begin for a morning flight?+
