Your ride from Ommen
Ommen lies in the middle of the Vechtdal in Overijssel, an old town on the Vecht surrounded by estates, heathfields and the woods of the Ommer Bos and Junne. Schiphol lies 143 kilometres from the Vecht; outside rush hour you're there in about two hours.
Schipholride charges for the ride from the Vechtdal a fixed total price: €210 for Comfort, €265 for Premium, €275 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €380 for VIP, including VAT, cases and parking. The time makes no difference to the price — night and public-holiday surcharges we know at Lemele no more than elsewhere.
Place your reservation by the Vecht at least 1 hour in advance and pay online, then the ride is settled and the price final.
From Ommen your driver rides over the N34 or the N340 towards Zwolle, and picks up the A28 to the west there. From the A28 it goes past 't Harde and Nunspeet over the Veluwe to Amersfoort, where via the A1 and the Eemnes interchange the route runs past Naarden and Muiden to the Diemen interchange.
At Diemen it goes over the A9 past Amstelveen and the Amstelveen interchange to the A4 and the Schiphol exit. The ride spans a good 140 kilometres; the sensitive stretch is on the A28 around Zwolle and on the A1 between Amersfoort and Amsterdam.
The N34 and N340 through Salland, by contrast, run quietly. Outside rush hour you reckon on two hours.
Pick-up in Ommen
Pick-up is possible throughout the Ommen municipality: in Ommen-centrum, on the Alteveer and Dante quarters, and in the cores of Lemele, Vilsteren, Beerze and Witharen. Addresses by the estates along the Vecht and on the De Strangen business estate fall within the area too.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Ommen
Back towards the Vechtdal the driver follows your landing time and stands at Schiphol Plaza at the meeting point in the arrivals hall; after landing you have 60 minutes free to collect your cases. Along the Vecht you drive home again in about two hours.

A train does stop by Lemele, but to the airport you have to change via Zwolle; a taxi spares you that change plus the hauling on the platform.

Add from the Vechtdal to about two hours on the road the good two hours you spend at the airport on check-in and security; for an early flight the pick-up time then lies between four and five.
Do eight people fit in one car?+
For a party from the area of the Vecht the Van is the logical choice: five to eight seats and enough luggage room, at €275 fixed instead of two cars.
Can I move my ride from the Vechtdal free of charge?+
A timely report — at least 4 hours before the pick-up time by Lemele — means free rebooking or half back; whoever only cancels at the last minute can no longer cancel without cost.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+

How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise — especially in holiday periods.
