Badhoevedorp sits right beside the interchange that shares its name, where the A4 and A9 meet; you can hardly live closer to Schiphol in the whole region. From most neighbourhoods the driver takes the Schipholweg onto the A4 towards the terminal; the entire run is 8 kilometres and takes around 15 minutes outside the rush hour.
Since the A9 was rerouted, the motorway now passes to the south of the village and Badhoevedorp connects to the network via the Schipholweg, which has greatly reduced through-traffic in the old village centre.
During the morning and evening peaks the pressure is felt most around the Badhoevedorp interchange and the slip roads onto the terminal, and the journey can stretch to roughly 25 minutes. The driver factors that in when setting your pick-up time, so a queue on the A4 does not eat into your check-in margin.
