Taxi Vlissingen to Schiphol

From Vlissingen the route crosses Walcheren to the A58, the motorway that opens up the Zeeland islands. Via the N57 or the urban roads the driver reaches Middelburg and picks up the A58 towards Goes and Bergen op Zoom, after which the A58 and the A4 carry the journey past Brabant, Rotterdam and The Hague, north towards Leiden and the Schiphol exit.

In a quiet spell the 156 kilometres take around 137 minutes. The Zeeland section usually flows freely; the pinch points sit on the A4 around Rotterdam and The Hague, where the morning and evening rush stack up the traffic and the total can head towards three hours.

Because of the distance, the pick-up is planned with ample slack, so a jam near Rotterdam or The Hague never threatens your flight and you check in with a solid margin.

Living on the western side of Vlissingen, in Paauwenburg, Bossenburgh or Lammerenburg, your ride starts with a stretch across Walcheren towards Middelburg and the A58. From Oost-Souburg and Ritthem the driver uses that same motorway.

For a European flight at 07:00, follow Schiphol's advice of 2 hours ahead, which means 05:00 at the airport. Your pick-up is then at 02:25: about 137 minutes on quiet roads through Zeeland and Brabant, plus 15 minutes of slack. The Zeeland part of the route is practically empty then, and Rotterdam still flows too.

With an intercontinental flight at 19:00 you want to be inside 3 hours earlier, at 16:00. The pinch points are not in Zeeland but on the A4 around Rotterdam and The Hague, where the afternoon rush can lengthen the drive to roughly 178 minutes.

The driver therefore arrives at 12:45, once more with 15 minutes of slack. Leaving from the ferry port or from a company in the harbour area? Say so when booking, so the pick-up point is clear in advance. The hour has no effect on the fixed fare of €260 in Comfort, as there is no night, weekend or rush-hour surcharge.
