On an island without a railway, one car that collects you at home and drives straight through carries extra weight, and the price is settled beforehand, with tax, cases and airport parking inside and no surcharge for night hours.
For a group or a pre-dawn departure, the direct taxi is nearly always the calmest route.

The journey begins on the N286 and the N259, crossing the Tholen bridge towards the A4 or the A58 at Bergen op Zoom. From there the route runs north, either along the newer A4 past Steenbergen and Dinteloord, or further east via the A17 and A16 past Roosendaal.
From Dinteloord the A4 route continues on the A29 over the Haringvliet bridge, while the Roosendaal route crosses the Moerdijk bridge past Dordrecht. Both join the A15 around Rotterdam and then take the A4 to Schiphol.
Delay usually gathers around Dordrecht and Rotterdam; in the morning crush the journey can extend to roughly 145 minutes. Which of the two roads is quicker that day is judged by the driver from the live traffic information.
Across this distance the pick-up moment always carries a generous margin against your departure time.
On Tholen every ride starts by crossing the Tholen bridge, and from Stavenisse, Scherpenisse or Sint-Philipsland a stretch of the N286 comes first, so be ready with your luggage at the agreed time. For a European flight at 07:00, Schiphol's advice of 2 hours puts you at the airport by 05:00.
Your pick-up is then at 02:50: about 111 minutes of off-peak driving with 15 minutes of slack added. At that hour the Dordrecht and Rotterdam section, where daytime delays build, simply flows.
