Your ride from Veendam
Veendam lies in the south-east of Groningen, main town of the Veenkoloniën, a region of straight canals and ribbons that once ran on peat extraction and is now known for its space and industry. From the Veenkoloniën to Schiphol you cover 215 kilometres, which outside rush hour takes a good two hours.
The ride from Wildervank costs a fixed amount without surprises: €295 in Comfort, €370 in Premium, €385 for the Van and €530 in VIP, VAT and parking in it. Surcharges for night or public holiday we don't charge; an early morning ride from the Winkelhoekgebied is as dear as a midday ride.
Booking by the Veenkoloniën you do up to 1 hour before departure, with direct online payment — the agreed amount doesn't change after that.
From Veendam your driver rides over the N33 towards Groningen or Assen, and picks up the A28 to the south there. From the A28 it goes past Assen, Hoogeveen and Zwolle, after which via Amersfoort and the A1 the route runs past Naarden and Muiden to the Diemen interchange.
Via the Diemen interchange the driver rides over the A9 past Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and Badhoevedorp to the A4 and the Schiphol exit. It's one of the longest rides in our area, a good 210 kilometres; the sensitive stretch is on the A28 around Zwolle and on the A1 towards Amsterdam.
The N33 and the polder roads run dead-straight and smoothly. Outside rush hour you reckon on almost three hours, so for a morning flight the pick-up time is planned generously.
Pick-up in Veendam
Pick-up is possible throughout the Veendam municipality: in Veendam-centrum and the Winkelhoekgebied, in Wildervank and Ommelanderwijk, and in Borgercompagnie and Zuidwending. Addresses along the canals and on the Dallen business estate fall within the area too.
If you live on one of the long ribbons through the Veenkoloniën, give your exact address with house number. Enter at booking your full address in Wildervank or the centre, and the car is at the door at the agreed time.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Veendam
For the ride back to Wildervank the driver is ready in the arrivals hall of Schiphol Plaza; the flight is tracked live so the pick-up time moves along, and after landing 60 minutes of free waiting time runs. Through the Veenkoloniën you're back in a good two hours.

From the Veenkoloniën Comfort comes to €295, Premium to €370, the Van for five to eight people to €385 and VIP to €530; VAT, cases and parking are in it, so no back-charge follows.
Does a direct train run from Wildervank?+
The station by the Winkelhoekgebied doesn't help directly: to Schiphol you travel via Groningen with a change, while a taxi drives you to the departure hall without a change.
What time does the car pull up at the Veenkoloniën?+
The driver reckons from Wildervank with a good two hours' driving time plus a good two hours at the airport itself, so together you set a pick-up time that's ample even in the morning peak.
How many people can come along in the Van?+
With five to eight people you book the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) at the Veenkoloniën; it costs €385 including luggage, more comfortable than splitting the party.
What happens with a scrapped flight?+
If you report it at least 4 hours before the pick-up time by the Winkelhoekgebied, we move the ride free of charge or you get half back; shorter beforehand that can no longer be done free.
What if I miss my flight or my flight gets cancelled?+
Let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled pickup on 085 060 2543. We then move your ride to a new time free of charge, or you cancel with a 50% refund. If you tell us later than 4 hours ahead, or we can't reach you, the ride counts as a no-show without a refund.
Can I get a child seat for the ride to Schiphol?+
Yes. When booking, mention that you need a child seat or booster and for which age — your driver will have the right seat ready.
Can I pay with iDEAL or credit card?+
Yes, you pay online in advance with iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The amount you see at booking is the full amount — there is nothing to pay in the car.
