Your ride from Venray

From Venray in North Limburg it is a long but straightforward run to Schiphol: roughly 152 kilometres, around 130 minutes outside the rush hour and up to about 170 minutes when the motorways are busy. For that journey Schipholride charges a fixed all-in price from €240 for a Comfort car (VW Passat or similar), with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included. You pick the segment that suits you: Comfort at €240, Premium at €290 (Mercedes E-Class or similar), a Van for 5 to 8 people at €320 (V-Class or similar) or VIP at €485 (S-Class or similar). Nothing is added on top: there is no night surcharge for that early start out of Limburg, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, and for an arrival pick-up your flight is tracked live with 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing. Schipholride arranges your ride across the whole of Venray, from Landweert to Ysselsteyn.

From Venray your driver joins the A73 within a few minutes via the Zuidsingel or the Maasheseweg; this motorway is the backbone of North Limburg. The standard route follows the A73 towards Nijmegen, switches to the A50 at the Ewijk interchange, then picks up the A15 at Valburg heading for Tiel. At the Deil interchange the journey continues on the A2 towards Utrecht and Amsterdam, after which the A9 and the A4 bring you to the terminal. Routing software sometimes prefers a back-roads variant along the N322 and N323 over the Prins Willem-Alexander bridge; the driver weighs up on the day which option is genuinely quicker. The weak spots are the A2 between Deil and Utrecht during the morning rush (roughly 6:30-9:30) and the Amsterdam ring road in the late afternoon. Outside the rush hour you stand in the departure hall after about 130 minutes; in the rush hour that can stretch to around 170 minutes. Roadworks are a regular feature on the A73 between Venray and Boxmeer, and this is taken into account when your pick-up time is set.

Pick-up in Venray

You can be collected anywhere in Venray: from the Centrum, Brukske, Landweert, Veltum, St. Antoniusveld and Brabander to outlying villages such as Oostrum, Leunen, Ysselsteyn and Wanssum. Venray station actually sits in Oostrum rather than the town centre; if you arrive there on the Maaslijn stopping train, you can just as easily be picked up at the station as at home. The same goes for companies on the Smakterheide, De Blakt or Keizersveld estates: give the exact address and a driver is at the door at the agreed time. When you book, mention anything that helps, such as a specific gate on a large logistics site, so getting in happens without any searching about.

Pick-up from Schiphol

On the way back the same applies: your flight is tracked live, so if it is delayed your pick-up moment shifts automatically and you get 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing. If you land late in the evening, the 152 kilometres back to North Limburg usually run smoothly in about 130 minutes; only around the evening rush can Utrecht and the A73 add time to the homeward leg. The fixed price stays exactly the same whatever the hour, because there is no night surcharge.

Frequently asked questions

My flight leaves at 08:00 — what time will I be collected in Venray?+

Work it backwards: allow a good two hours for check-in, so you want to be at Schiphol by 06:00. Add the driving time of about 130 minutes and a pick-up around 03:45 gives plenty of room. At that hour the A73 and the A2 are empty, and Schipholride charges no night surcharge for such an early ride out of North Limburg.

Is there a direct train from Venray to Schiphol?+

No. Venray station is on the Maaslijn (the Nijmegen-Venlo stopping train) and you change at least once along the way; the rail journey averages around two and a half hours. A taxi is door to door, saves you hauling cases between platforms, and is the more practical choice for early flights, late landings or travelling with several people.

Where am I most likely to hit traffic on the way from Venray?+

Mainly on the A2 between the Deil interchange and Utrecht during the morning rush, and on the Amsterdam ring road in the late afternoon. At those times the total driving time can rise to around 170 minutes instead of 130. The driver takes the time of your flight into account when planning your pick-up, so you keep a comfortable margin.

Does the fixed price also apply if I live in Oostrum, Ysselsteyn or Wanssum?+

Yes, the fixed prices cover the whole of Venray, including the outlying villages. Whether you board in the Centrum, in Landweert or out in Ysselsteyn, Comfort is €240, Premium €290, the Van €320 and VIP €485 — all-in amounts with VAT, luggage and the parking costs at Schiphol already included.

There are seven of us leaving from Venray — will we fit in one vehicle?+

Yes, the Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) carries 5 to 8 people with luggage for a fixed price of €320. That works out cheaper than two separate Comfort rides, and you travel together. It suits families, groups of friends and project teams setting off from estates such as Smakterheide or De Blakt.
