Taxi Rozenburg to Schiphol

Leaving Rozenburg means first crossing out of the port area: via the Botlek tunnel or the surrounding harbour roads the driver reaches the A15, the artery of the Rotterdam port, and follows it east until the turn north, at the Ridderkerk interchange or earlier onto the A4 towards Den Haag.

The quickest variant runs over the A15 and the A4 past Delft and Den Haag towards Leiden and the Schiphol exit. Without rush-hour pressure, the 72 kilometres take about 61 minutes. The critical zones are the A15 and A4 around Rotterdam and Den Haag, where morning and evening peaks slow the traffic; the journey can then extend to an hour and a half.

Given the distance and the congestion risk, your driver plans the pick-up generously, so you check in with room to spare.

At 72 kilometres, the ride from Rozenburg is long enough to really feel the rush hour. First you leave the port area via the Botlek Tunnel or the harbour roads, then comes the A15 and after that the A4 past Delft, The Hague and Leiden.

Without traffic you are on the road for 61 minutes. A European flight at 07:00 means arriving by 05:00, so you get in at 03:40. At that hour the bottlenecks around Rotterdam and The Hague are empty. For a long-haul flight at 19:00 you need to be inside by 16:00.

Rozenburg has no railway station and lies tucked away in the port area, which makes public transport to Schiphol slow and full of changes; a door-to-door taxi is usually by far the easiest choice.
