Catching an early flight from Drenthe usually means leaving in the middle of the night, and the last thing you want is to depend on a connection in Zwolle. A taxi from Emmen to Schiphol is one of the longer runs we handle: roughly 196 kilometres, around 160 minutes outside the rush hour and up to about 210 minutes in the morning or evening peak, so plan your departure with that in mind.

Your driver comes to the door in any neighbourhood, from Parc Sandur to Emmerhout. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, and on the return leg your flight is tracked live.
From Emmen the driver takes the A37 towards Hoogeveen; at the Hoogeveen interchange the route switches to the A28 heading for Zwolle and Amersfoort. Past the Hoevelaken interchange you follow the A1 towards Amsterdam and then the A9, which runs through Amstelveen and reaches the Schiphol exit almost directly at the Badhoevedorp interchange.
In total that is 196 kilometres, the vast majority of it motorway, and outside the rush hour you rarely come to a standstill. The busy stretches all sit in the second half: the A28 around Zwolle and between Nijkerk and Amersfoort, the Hoevelaken interchange, the A1 through Het Gooi and the A9 near Amstelveen.
In the morning peak towards the Randstad the total journey can therefore stretch to around 210 minutes. If you live on the eastern side of the municipality, for example in Klazienaveen, you join the A37 via the N862; from the centre and the western neighbourhoods the ring road puts you on the motorway within a few minutes.
Pick-up in Emmen
Your driver collects you anywhere in Emmen: from Emmen-Centrum, Emmermeer and Angelslo to Bargeres, Rietlanden, Delftlanden and Parc Sandur beside the Grote Rietplas. The surrounding villages, such as Klazienaveen, Nieuw-Amsterdam and Emmer-Compascuum, work just as well as a pick-up address.
If you would rather board at a station, that can be Emmen station in the centre or Emmen Zuid, where there is a generous car park right next to the platform. Emmen (the former Emmtec site), simply give the company address and any reference when you book.

Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Emmen
Bear in mind that the train back to Emmen always involves a change in Zwolle, so if you land late in the evening a taxi is usually the more practical choice for those 196 kilometres home. Your driver sees your actual landing time, and you have 60 minutes of free waiting after touchdown, so even after a queue at passport control there is no pressure.

What time will I be collected in Emmen for an 08:00 flight?+
For an 08:00 departure you want to be at Schiphol around 06:00 to check in comfortably. With roughly 160 minutes of driving time outside the rush hour, that puts the pick-up at around 03:15, usually with a little extra margin built in. Because there is no night surcharge, a night-time run like this still costs the same fixed fare as one in daylight.
Is a taxi from Emmen faster than the train to Schiphol?+
By train you always change in Zwolle and are on the way for a good two hours including the connection, before you even count the journey to the station. The taxi covers it door to door in around 160 minutes outside the rush hour. So the travel times are fairly close; the real difference is the ease with luggage, very early or late flights, and travelling as a group.
Can I book a Schiphol trip from Klazienaveen or Nieuw-Amsterdam too?+
